LOL. Tell your husband to consider himself lucky. This is a pic of my living room taken a few months ago. The pile has doubled in size since this was taken. And I don't even have pics of my back yard storage shed or the basement rocks.

"you're out of control…you have too many rocks!" Your husband is funny! and SO very wrong. I'm not even going to try to get pictures, everything is too spread around. But, maybe this will help. Tell him to get back to you when you start getting 55 gal barrels shipped in from Brazil - suggestion: milk crates - strong and stack well. Makes storage much neater and looks like there is less stuff. Probably cheaper than buckets as well.

OMG!! I would be happy with MFRB's with rocks like that….anybody got any? lol I'm not sure where to get milk crates, but I get the buckets from the dollar store…they hold 22-25 lbs. Andrea

Snuffy, that's not a problem. That's a candy store.

I don't have room on my phone for more pictures yet, but I have over 4000 pounds of rocks in my shop and more outside. If I had a loader I would have hundreds of tons piled up in my yard

yes sir
ordered 1½ barrels rose quartz & 1½ sodalite from Brazil back in 07 or 08 - don't recall exactly when. The empty one is now filled with rosetta and tiger iron. Barrels are good for storage of large rock.

Check your local craigslist for milk crates. I'm returning to buckets with lids though, don't like spiders.

I like that idea Russ, instead of filling the loader bucket and having to pick them all up again to move again ! I'm stealing it.
In regard to too many rocks .... Like shotgunner said there are worse habits. I remind her that I don't stop at the bar on the way home from work or go golfing with the guys. She gets all my attention unless I'm playing with rocks, farming or working to pay off the great Christmas presents that somehow keep arriving in the mail. Now the post lady has her picture on the most wanted wall instead of that crazy rock guy with the 30 lb boxes.

I've just told my wife I want to buy a new tumbler. She threw her arms in the air and said "you need to work out what you are going to do with all these polished rocks first!" That's as good as a "yes, alright then" for me!

That's as good as a "yes, alright then" for me! That almost sounded like an "I think you should buy two tumblers" to me. just sayin'... Have you considered selling any of them? Your wife would probably be as happy as a kitten with a bowl of milk if she thought you were making money with your obsession hobby. I'd take 100+ bucks worth to help you towards that new tumbler if you are interested. I love all those Scottish bands and eyes!
