I do not feel I can fully-credit/accept Sheri's apology because she still does not admit to twisting and badly misrepresenting things I said. Rather than be a source of disruption. I am going to voluntarily leave RTH.
Folks can judge for themselves whether my words were friendly and badly misrepresented and posted out of context.

1st message after refund:
Hi again -
I accepted the refund. Thanks again. I regret that our interactions over time have been prickly. I guess I must accept some responsibility for that because whatever you did or did not do, I am the one who allowed myself to be annoyed. We have common friends, common interests, and I do not want there to be tension between us that would ever spill over into these common interests and friends. Perhaps if we meet face to face on some rockhounding trip, we will get on a more comfortable footing.
You might consider giving the end-cut to someone or offering it as part of a prize. We have both paid a bit for it and some good should come of it. You must have paid a fee to ebay, and again to PayPal to accept my payment. I paid higher shipping in part because of this slab, I am now paying return postage (although you did not require this), and I just paid a $0.42 cents fee to accept your PayPal refund.
It is important to get slab listings (and any small-value listing) right because it is near impossible to correct mistakes in any way that makes sense financially. After all is said and done, you will be out some cost even if you resell the slab, and I will be out some cost because I am only going to see a buck and change after the postage and the PayPal fee. For what it is worth, there is a way to do a partial refund against a specific PayPal transaction where the person receiving the refund does not have to pay a fee to receive it. You should find out how this works in case you ever have to issue another refund.
I also see that several people are posting nice things about your boxes. I am glad that you are getting good news. But also be aware that the norm of this board is to say nice things even about average material. Like positive feedback on ebay it is almost meaningless. When you posted fossils a while back two different members PM'ed me to warn me that your stuff was not that great. Now I have this experience of my own. I do take your expression of regret as sincere. But at the same time, someone who has been to rock shows, bought from estates, and collected and cut their own stuff should know the difference between an endcut and a slab, between under a pound and only 3oz. Just take care of your reputation.
See you on RTH,
-Daniel
message after I saw she was upset beyong any expectation:
Wow Sherri -
I see from your posting on the board that you are upset after my last email. It was not my intention to upset you. I regret any distress you experienced because of what I reported. You were recently talking about sinking every dime you had into a rock shop, talking about maybe first starting an internet business. I only wanted you to realize that dealing with the public would not be like dealing with RTH. I was trying to advise you about what may have been vulnerable areas in your judgement or experience. I offered those remarks out of respect and the idea that you should know your that skills and judgement would need a little more development before you were ready for the public. I wish you had emailed me back to ask what I meant or how serious I thought those comments were. I think I could have offered you some reassurance or further perspective.
I hope your day gets better. Do something fun for yourself.
-Daniel
