Yes the cab is grooved and it is grooved wider than what I do for wire. At the bottom of the cab on the curve the cord fits down in the groove about half way. One reason that I know it is not coming off.
The groove is not polished so the glue sticks fine. You would have to roughen up the side to get glue to stick but I don't think I would do it without the groove.
Rockoonz, I have some cord like that but I think it would have to be waxed first which would assist in the burning. Oops, wrong vegetable matter I think. Can weed be made into a cord? You might be on to something there. A use for the stems.
