Just received an email from my friend Larry Jensen who's helping to author the new Hans Gama book. He said it's expected to be out in about a month, it will be all new, not just an expanded version of the last book, and there will be considerably more text than the previous work. I'm excited to see it!
And, Jakesrocks, that black Owyhee is pretty cool stuff!

Dang ! I actually got 6 hours of sleep. Mamma's new meds must be working good.
Yes megalotis, thank you for the update. I'll be looking forward to Hans's new book. Did your friend happen to say anything about advance ordering, or about the possibility of getting an autographed edition ?
Gotta catch up on dish washing, then hopefully cutting a rock or two.

Here's a few more that I wanted to contribute to Don's picture jasper thread. There are 3 unknowns listed, too, that I hope y'all may be able to help identify. Biggs small tumble suiseki unusual colors in Biggs slab from tntmom Blue Biggs slabette Blue Biggs slabette Biggs slab opposite side of Biggs - I like the yellow in it Chicken Track slab Chicken Track slab Deschutes opposite side of Deschutes Deschutes with blue sky Deschutes with blue sky and dendrites (there's polish that is seen on the left side of the slabette. Need to finish polishing it.) Deschutes with dendrites - this slab is much darker brown one of my favorite Deschutes slabettes since it has a different pattern on the opposite side here's the other side of the lil Deschutes Not sure, but think this slab is Disaster Peak?? from crazy8s Disaster Peak slab with two sunsets Disaster Peak slab opposite side of above slab of Disaster Peak "Psychedelic" Disaster Peak slab Palomino Palomino end cut Think that both pieces of the Palomino came from the same rough Spiderman (dry) slab cheater shot of Spiderman's webs Succor Creek with a tornado touching ground --------------------------- Here's the 3 unknowns that I hope someone can please help identify: Thank You! 1. Is this one Wild Horse? 2. ? slab from tntmom This one has a purplish color to its sky and hills, nice dendrites and hills Maybe Biggs? 3. Possibly Biggs?

Jake - I'll see if I can find out regarding pre-orders and signed copies.
Gingerkid - I would guess wildhorse on number one as well, the other two...kind of look Biggs-like...maybe they are associated jaspers from that area? Very nice set of slabs!

Thank you, captbob!! Not sure, but I guess the site I've been using to upload photos decided to post the motorcycle instead of the Chicken Track slab. That isn't my bike, although it is a nice ride. Here's the slab that was supposed to post... Chicken Track jasper Has anyone heard from Don/ jakesrocks?

I'm baaaaaack. Lost internet connection for a few days. Only partially on right now. Waiting for a tech guy to come this afternoon and get me back up to 100%.
Been going crazy not being able to get online. Missed a bunch of weekend bids.
