I think I heard they had a cold front working his way...Snow and etc..Hopefully it passed over him... Hey Mike, that cold front pushed up & over us. Got cold here for a couple days, but no snow. That was reserved for those N.D. folks. Don..........That cold front nailed Montana,my brothers called-they got three inches of snow-LOL..........

I was all set to make my snipe bid on a nice chunk of Owyhee Mtn. picture jasper last night. Phone rang. It was one of those damned political groups wanting money. By the time I got back to the computer bidding had ended. Not a single bid. I could have had it for the starting price.

A couple years ago my trucker buddy Bob / mtmadman brought me a large hunk of Black Biggs. He found a new seam and dug the material himself. I've slabbed half of it. Not very impressive material, but I'll slab the other half later & see what happens. Here's a cab made from the same material. It's amazing how the sky areas turn to a pinkish purple color when sanded & polished.

Hey folks I was hounding with Roy, Tony and a bunch of folks in 5he Owhyees a couple years ago. We went to the Windy Ridge claim and also the Cripple Creek on the same day. I forgot to mark the boxes and now I can't tell them apart. How do you tell them apart, they are very close to each other.

I should slice this, but I've been wanting a specimen of Chicken Track that showed the tracks, so it will stay as is.

Enjoyed seeing your Black Biggs (cab - Woah!) and Chicken Track jasper piece, jakesrocks. Nice tracks! The new claim of Deer Sky is sweet and cannot wait to see yours. orrum, maybe you could post photos of your unknowns and see if anyone could help you id them.

Sorry Gingerkid but I can't do pics. Plus I hounded a hundred pounds or so. That's a lot of pics of different chunks. I need a way I can differentiate them here at home. Good idea tho!
