The wild horse picture jasper I got from Andy is one of my favourite pieces. The green is so vivid. It's like a piece of candy.

Krystee, I'm guessing either Wild Horse or Spring Mountain. The thin reddish brown outline of the mountains makes me lean more towards Spring Mountain. But there are variations in every one of the Owyhee jaspers.

Gorgeous. I love the moonrise slab. Oregon jaspers are some of my favorite, but that one rocks. Of course, the Morrisonite is stunning, too. I'd love to get my hands on that and some kaleidoscope jasper, but, man they are pricey.

Couple more varieties.

Blue Moon

Chicken Tracks. I have just learned that this jasper gets its name from the appearance of the rough when it's freshly mined. The cream colored matrix surrounding the material is said to have raised lines on it that resemble chicken tracks. It comes from Oregon, just north of McDermitt, Nevada. It was mined many years ago, and is supposed to be getting scarce.

Owthee Hidden Valley. (Sometimes called Moonshine Jasper).

McDermitt Red Rock. (Recent find).
