Wow! I've never seen hail that size, nor the damage. Where are you? Currently 82 here on the way to 95 day. 104 later in the week. I prefer warm, without high humidity.

Alberta, smack almost in the middle between the cities of Edmonton and Calgary. East of the Rockies just as the land turns to prairies for 3000km. I was speaking with a friend in Ark and she was mentioning it was so hot and humid. Told her we were having night temps down in the 40s Fahrenheit last week and some areas hit 0 Celsius. It felt like we were heading into a very early autumn. I thought it was odd until reading that news article. The summer was dry, not overly hot, just dry. Add in this cold airmass, feed that hot humid air your having and this is what becomes of the two. Cant say whats still instore for Aug.

You Canadian fellows got pulverized. I notice you had 120 KM/HR(72 MPH ?) line wind. never seen hail like that, but have 145 MPH in a hurricane. Prefer the 145 over your hail.

I have seen hail and damage like that in Fort Worth Texas. I believe it was a May Day celebration down town and there was little cover for all the people. One police officer almost got beat to death covering up two children and lots of people in the hospital, some in critical condition. It was just about as bad as bad gets. Jim

One police officer almost got beat to death covering up two children and lots of people in the hospital, some in critical condition. It was just about as bad as bad gets. Jim Stuff like this is why I am a student of the Bible. Letting imagination run wild here. Below is an article quoting/describing a prophetic verse in the Bible about 100 pound hail in the end days. www.endoftheworld2012.net/50kilohailstones.htmTrying to imagine the terminal speed of a 100 pound hail chunk. A sky diver is good for at least 130 MPH. A dense hail ball may be twice that speed guessing. Not sure even a high rise could take that abuse. The safest place ? A cave ? A car would be a few inches tall less the engine compartment. I believe mention was made of hail in the 7th plague of Egypt featuring 1/2 cubit sized hail. Like 8 inches, probably 10-15 pounds. Not so sure modern high rises would even last long under bombardment from 8 inch hail. Jim, do not know what to say about such abuse on mankind. I guess the God of the Bible is not one to trifle with. ""Revelation 16:21 speaks of catastrophic disasters like 50 kilo hailstones. If you have read the section above, you will already know the damage a 0.5 to 1 kilo hailstone can cause. Imagine the damage from a 50 kilo hailstone! This is what will happen according to Bible prophecy about the end of the world. That's about the size of a bag of cement!!! “And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent [about 50 kilos]: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great” (Revelation 16:21). So what would you do if your city was being pounded by 50 kilo hailstones. "" Bad hail storm:

Quite the story. Is that supposed to happen to the entire planet at the same time? Not sure if there is that much water on the planet. But as always I could be wrong. Jim

Hopefully aimed at child molesters. Would require some kind of super storm with serious updrafts. Nebraska/Kansas/S Dakota have those super high storms making some of the biggest hail.

If you want a good cheap car and do not mind some dents that is the place to go. They have lots of them.
The child molester idea is very good. Jim

The biggest I've seen and "heard" falling from the sky. Were the size of baseballs! Brief and sporadic as they came in with a storm front, changed to smaller ones within mins. Scared the shit out of me. Pulled the truck under a huge tree and waited it out. The largest diameter hailstone known, measuring 7.87 in (20.0 cm) in diameter - larger than a bowling ball - and weighing 1.9375 lb (878.8 g), fell on Vivian during an exceptional hailstorm, Vivian, South Dakota, USA, 23 July 2010. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_costly_or_deadly_hailstorms

Day twenty something of rain here in the Tampa Bay area.
Even our sandy yards can't hold anymore water.
Can't get anything done outside.
I HATE rain.
