once again Dave Crosby 1dave you answer the ineffable !! My Rock’n Hearts quest is a subliminal sub-conscious impulse from my childhood. My Dad—--Remo--- (of Rock Records & Radio) had that record! I’m sure I listened to it many times at 78 speed when I was just a 3 on the mohs scale. The rest is rock history as they say mostly™ or was it a 45? or 33 1/3 pretty sure it wasn’t 16 speed

Good heavens! I love it! I love to hear new music and old. Each tune reminded me of another.... I could do this all day, but I really need to finish hooking up my stereo today! Just for you Tela: Sukiyaki 1dave Thank you so much for that great story!!! Things just never change do they? We'll fall for just about anything.

Tela, thanks for posting Broadsword, love that tune. My favorite Tull is Thick as a Brick, but so many great songs in their (his) catalog. I got to attend an Ian Anderson concert here in Phoenix a few years ago...fantastic! He's such a talented individual. Unfortunately, that great voice isn't what it was...which leads me to: I don't know how you kids get the youtube vids to post up as a picture, so sorry! I saw him about 10 years ago at an outside venue. His voice was shot but he and the band were tight as hell. Great show! Very laid back, too, with every age represented.

Got my system set up and squared away. Proceeded to drink a lot and play a lot. My first cd was one by Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI) because it was closest.
I am he who is X, Y and Zee I carry no card, my life is cheap Have no worries, I do not fret Some may have what I'm yet to get
And you may wonder, "Is it how?" A kitten may turn into a cow With bells and horns And tinned corned beef
Forests, profits Plastic High Streets I am he who is A, B and Cee
An easy option Like twentieth century Satisfaction guaranteed It's easy
Let's steal a spaceship And head for the sun And shoot the stars with A lemonade ray gun
Make a movie and A TV show You be Jane I'm George Jetson
I am you, you are me X, Y, Zee to A, B, Cee You, me, us We are one
From out our window We can see Electric sunshine Oxygen factories
Clockwork tides Synthetic trees Just like the real ones On Vee Tee
Mother nature and father time Used to be good friends of mine But now we've put them in a home Filed them under, "Uses unknown
"No pop, no style" Is a phrase out of phase To praise what's worthwhile This is as good as it gets This is the best
Let's catch the last rays Of civilization and tune-in to a Sub-space station, turn up the DJ Let's get lost in intergalactic Punk rock, hip hop
I am you, you are me X, Y, Zee to A, B, Cee You, me, us We are one
This is the time The time of our lives Escaping time For the all time highs
Of love, lust, laughter That make us sweat Let's stimulate Sensory amplification
This is PWEI-zation This is this It's the living end "Je t'aime, encore, je t'aime"
I am you, you are me X, Y, Zee to A, B, Cee You, me, us We are one
Def Con One
Ten to doomsday, moving fast... Heads up! Mind that blast. No time to sleep, it's Def.Con.One. Can't get no sleep as the ticking ticks on, No time for fear, it's Def.Con.One, No time to eat but get me some
CHORUS
Big Mac, fries to go... Big Mac, fries to go... Get me Big Mac, fries to go... Get me Big Mac, get me fries to go... Watchman! We love you all... Hup! Hup! Heads up! Ground floor coming up... How sick is Dick? How gone is Ron? How sick is Dick? How gone is Ron? What's the time? It's Def.Con.One... Say, what's the time? Just get me some
CHORUS
Goodbye city, hello moon, Hands up! Vote Dr. Doom! You know it makes sense... It's Def.Con.One, hey! What's occuring? What goes on? It's the only choice... So get me some
CHORUS

My favorite singer of "Love Songs" is Jimmy Rodgers.
Silenced!
NOT TO BE CONFUSED with "the Old Blue Yodeler" Jimmy Rodgers.

good to hear ya got sound system squared away, Tela there was once a time when knowing stereo components was the in thing then computers came along and took over the tech geek world that pop eats itself can really string lyrics together I got nothing to post music wise sound of silence and the low drone of the air conditioner cool You're such a poet, Ed Yes, I remember when knowing your equipment was the shitzba. Like sports stats or something. I quit keeping up years ago. Mostly because the things that used to be good; weren't anymore! You can't trust a big name brand like you used to.

Thanks, Tela. An oldy I heard on my favorite radio station (KGB 101.5) this morning. Someone requested it for the "E" song on Barrel-of-Monkeys. Love it when they play that game, callers always manage to pull up some great tunes you haven't heard in a while.
1dave Time in a Bottle reminds me of this one: Now, that one reminds me of this:
Ha ha, gotta love Weird Al!
One more while I'm at it, and we're still going strong:
You won't think about Chinese food quite the same...
