good to hear ya got sound system squared away, Tela there was once a time when knowing stereo components was the in thing then computers came along and took over the tech geek world that pop eats itself can really string lyrics together I got nothing to post music wise sound of silence and the low drone of the air conditioner cool You're such a poet, Ed Yes, I remember when knowing your equipment was the shitzba. Like sports stats or something. I quit keeping up years ago. Mostly because the things that used to be good; weren't anymore! You can't trust a big name brand like you used to. I recall going to sound sytem convention in the seventies It was held in large office building probably about 10 floors So we were in the JBL room and jamming with the representative when a low rumble and pure sound started to emanate somewhere from above kinding of overiding the JBL’s! Then the reprensenative said; ‘Those damn Cerwin Vega boys ‘ Loud is Beautiful If its Clean
did somebody say keep on rocking

mohs Had to send that to my grandson. I forgot all about it!!! DH is a huge Godzilla fan. He turned my youngest grandson onto him, too. gingerkid I love that song, but I didn't know who did it. I don't recall the name Elvin Bishop, at all. And, I LOVE Grace Slick in an airplane or a starship. 1dave I can't believe you posted Puttin' on the Ritz! I LOVE that song! Another 80's gem....

Yes I listen to a lot of different tunes. I blame it on my 6 older brothers and sister. I started school 69-70 and my oldest brother was graduating that year. Being the youngest I got to listen to all their tastes in music. I like everything except rap, the 50"s and classical.

Thunder69 Did you know that Sweet's Desolation Boulevard album is widely considered the first punk rock album? I love that album.... except for one song. Do you remember the song by them, "Little Willy"? Vastly different. bushmanbilly Great picks! I was going to pick some Billy Squier, too. And, I did pick Gary Numan- He was first on my list. I have about 25 of his albums. Maybe more, lost count. Murray Head- Yup, he really was singing about chess. LOL! I love many kinds of music, too. Mom played old Country, Dad was into Classical. mohs I love the Yardbirds!!! My best friend of many, many years, now gone to the Lord, was a fabulous guitar player. If it weren't for alcohol, he would have been one of the greats. Anyway, his favorite song was "Shape of Things to Come". Thank you for reminding me of him. Here are 2- one a remake of the other. I love both for different reasons. The late and great Donna Summer is the one and only Diva to my mind and Venus Hum has a wonderful voice cut short by a disease of the voice. Love her dress in this!

Tela, Jean, Ed, Dave are the most serious of music junquies(sp like rockjunquie). Dave mostly as he has the most experience. Imagine making cabs to this song.

Crank it up, y'all! I enjoy listening to about everything from classical to metal, especially metal. Here's something a lil different. Rap and country, metal and rap, rap From the television series, "Justified." gemfeller Rick and I were big fans of the show. Sure miss Boyd Crowder. This one has clips from "Justified" "LONG HARD TIMES TO COME¨ by GANGSTAGRASS & T.O.N.E.Z. Time to get wicked!! "Bring the Noise!!!!" by Anthrax with Public Enemy Beastie Boys - Kick it! Luv the Boys! "Lookin' Down the Barrel of a Gun" by the Beastie Boys From the "8 Mile" movie "Lose Yourself" by Eminem "Look If you had One shot Or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted In one moment Would you capture it Or just let it slip?" "You better lose yourself in the music, the moment You own it, you better never let it go You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime you better" " You can do anything you set your mind to, man" Eminem - selected lyrics from Lose Yourself
