Tammy and I also seen some nice Elk in Yellowstone Park-A couple years ago....(thank God for telephoto lens).. This "Bull" was right next to the road.....

The bigger the tree on scrapes,the bigger the buck.... That is not really accurate. With the advent of affordable remote cameras it has come to light that it is a crap shoot.

I was awoken to that fact this year. Little 4 pointer easily made a big rub in front of me. Made it look easy. Even a small buck has lots of grunt, powerful little creatures. If they hit a clump of saplings you can often tell a lot about his antlers. I saw a 1 foot deep ditch in front of a rub in Ontario Canada, probably a giant.

Oh yes,those little guys can tear a guy up too-LMAO......Must taster too!!! To bad we couldn't post harvested deer on here some where-it is the season..LOL I'm sure there would be some complaints.....Thumbs down...

Warm weather deer eating leaves rather than bitter winter acorns much better tasting. Not a well known thing. Crop deer probably really good eating. Gotta hustle to clean one on a 90F+ day though. Yellow jackets and flies swarm the carcass. + the heat. Grind the meat with 5% beef fat, oh man that is some good burgers.
