That is a really nice cab you made! Your name for it kind of fits the season which is how I got my idea Also great prize cobbledstones Word of advice young Glenn. One day you will find the woman of your dreams. DO NOT mess with her dish rags. Or do not get caught. More importantly, DO NOT use them for packing material on rocks sent to cobbledstones ! A ladies sentiment can manifest itself in the most unusual of ways. As they say " That was my good towel" !!! Been there, done that...LOL

Shoot!!! Take the towel!!!...imagine what you can get from James by threatening to send postcards to his wife depicting the towel in tortuous situations...checking the oil in your truck, drying the dog off with it, cleaning up dog ___ with it, etc., etc.,. Just think...bags of garnets, tons of coral, all kinds of goodies, maybe even a fire pit if the postcards are really creative, he's got his famous boat, too!!! That towel's better'n gold bullion!!! Seriously...I've gotta figure this cabbing thing out!!!! Man, that's some really nice rock there waiting on somebody!!!

OK I braved the cold and cut a cab for this contest. I used a montana slab I cut on my home built saw. I almost forgot to get a pic of the slab before cutting the cab out. Took this pic after I made the 1st cut. preform Finished cab Backlit I have to add I stabilized this cab with superglue after grinding. The quartz area was a little crumbly along the edges when I was shaping it. When I got it where I liked it I dried it and spread the glue all over the cab. I let it sit overnight and finished sanding/polishing this afternoon. Thanks for looking. Good luck everyone!

Nice cab, Nate. I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at montana dendrites, and your capture is great.
