The fact you are but hurt and not embarrassed means you don't get it. Maybe in a few years when you mature some you will understand your error better. In defense of our new friend from Montana I would like to point out that she had already apologized when Radio piled on. I don't think this qualifies as butt hurt when you have already acknowledged your mistake and you get scolded again... nuff said I was reading and replying to her response to me, and that alone. If I seem to aggressive, maybe I need a time out. Big sky I am sorry if I was too aggressive. Tommy, thanks for reaching out to me.

well I get what your saying and I'm not trying to steal anything from anyone. So are you saying you all need to zip it, no offers to help, I got your back if he don't kinda thing? I assumed y'all were a tight knit community, and usually y'all look out for each other. Isn't this basically the same thing? Although I'm the outlast, doesn't mean I can't have anyone's back. So if someone is buying or selling and in that person didn't find the product he wanted, there isn't anyone in that thread that can refer, give direction to etc all because it's not your tread?. I understand the point being made, I respect that but is it worth being monitored and reprimanded? Idk...seems relatively easy to loose respect. I'd think it would take a lot more than what this is about to loose such a powerful asset. I don't steal, I respect this hobby and if respect is lost... That's a choice one makes, it's outta my hands. If everyone would not be so judgemental the sun may shine a little brighter. Happy, thursday In every section but sales. Sales threads different. Imagine if I walked into a gun store with a backpack full of pistols offering "to help out". Think the shopkeeper would love that? What you did in this thread is the moral equivalent. Start your own thread, and I assure u it will be yours, nobody stepping on your toes. Equal respect. The fact you are but hurt and not embarrassed means you don't get it. Maybe in a few years when you mature some you will understand your error better. we'll I'm 50 yrs old, plenty mature so I'm all good there. It takes a mature person longer to get embarrassed, not to mention it takes something relatively significant to make a mature person blush. I'm a pretty strong person, I carry more rocks every day, lift more dead weight than some of you mature men. I "get it" ... A mature person doesn't need to get upset or embarrassed to "get it"...trust me... Imo I'm not required to "get it" by your terms and if I don't...all your respect is gone... Idk man this is getting more complcated lol

haha to be honest I'm not sure what it where I stuck my finger...lol totally confused, things seem sorta complicated and unnecessary. *sigh* okay... you have offered your "wares" twice on this thread. I could go back and find them and paste them here, but I'm kinda busy. First time, you got a gentle nudge that this isn't the norm. That didn't seem to work, so the 2nd time folks kinda spelled it out in less subtle posts. Kinda hope the message has been received and everyone can now go out and play in the sunshine - so to speak. amen... Sorry 10 times in advance and lets close this door, open another and let the sunshine in...

Totally not cool to hijack another sellers thread and/or offer your items for sale. It's bad forum etiquette and will get you far more grief from members than it's worth by any sales you would make. That, and the fact it causes a loss of any respect you might have already earned well I get what your saying and I'm not trying to steal anything from anyone. So are you saying you all need to zip it, no offers to help, I got your back if he don't kinda thing? I assumed y'all were a tight knit community, and usually y'all look out for each other. Isn't this basically the same thing? Although I'm the outlast, doesn't mean I can't have anyone's back. That's a choice one makes, it's outta my hands. If everyone would not be so judgemental the sun may shine a little brighter. Happy, thursday A more appropriate "offer to help" should have been sent via a private message and not posted on another members thread of items for sale. I'm not trying to be a hard @$$, just pointing out your lack of ability to see anything wrong with offering your items in another members thread. Whether this is from lack of experience in forum behavior, or is an outright effort to grab a sale, we have no way of knowing. I am a moderator on a couple other forums (not here) and RTH is by far the more lenient of any forums I frequent! On at least one other forum, if not both, your hijacking would have earned you a permanent ban. Just jumping on a forum and immediately listing things for sale is bad form on any forum. No matter what forum one joins, the community prefers to see a good bit of participation so they can get to know you a bit before sending their hard earned money. When one (especially a new member) aggressively pushes their wares, it makes folks think they are here just for the money . E Bay, Etsy and Craig's list are a much better avenue for generating sales, but even there, new sellers are met with caution until they have a good track record of positive feedback You have some great material and it will be in demand here and elsewhere if you don't push it so aggressively and let folks come to you.

Yep, she don't understand. Sees no error. Sees the point as 'complicated'. I gave a perfect analogy, no thought given.
Have a sweet day.

Ps...I've only been butt hurt one time and that's when I first moved to Montana. I was at this gravel pit for the first time, was completely blown away by all the colorful stones and agates, stopped on this hillside to soak in the surroundings, decided this would be the perfect time to sit down for a little meditation session only to plant my butt on a frickn cactus. Welcome to Montana...lol that is my butt hurt story.

What I haven't quite figured out is why his boss opened a rock shop in Palmer Alaska (with a population of around 6,000) and doesn't already have a web site. Folks in Palmer must REALLY like rocks! It is a sub business that is a small part in his main business shop. He doesn't have the time for a website nor does he have much time to run the rock shop part in summer.. If he decides to retire it is possible that I could be doing full time work for him, but that is a ways down the road. Awesome,I have a brother that lives close to Palmer,in Eagle River.....I might have him swing in and take a look....

I'd hold off on that Mike. There is material coming in from the Tucson show and the owner is headed to Brazil this week to get even more inventory.
Should be much more impressive stock on hand once all this arrives!

I have a few more photos I will put up but until he gets back there will be nothing new... I may start making alaskan pieces which I will start a new thread for. I am excited to see his 1:1 scale malachite guitar he picked up.

The stuff from tuscon should arrive this week but I can't touch it until he gets back for obvious inventory reasons.

Hey Glenn, You mentioned the guy has piles of rough and slabs? Why not compose small FRB's of same hardness, but random slabs to people who like to be surprised? You know, fill them with good stuff so nobody is disappointed? Offer each box at whatever flat rate you decide. Go from there... just a thought.

Most of the stuff is in a warehouse, the slabs, or some of them, are in the locked shed next to where I will be cutting stuff... I'm going to try and get him to pull the material out as i want to hopefully find a few specifics I got from a few boxes. The huge 3 pallets from tuscon came in... The shipping company damaged (possibly) the goods or boxes at least and notified us prior so hopefully it is just box damage. My boss has to go through it all when he comes back... I kind of hope I can help

Hope that the malachite guitar made the trip okay! Not that I'm in the market for a life sized malachite guitar, but it ought to be pretty impressive to see.
When is the boss man due back from Brazil?
