Here's photos of a couple finds. Have more, but these I like and they show well.
Maybe a little carnelian in there.
This looks almost like fire agate, not sure. It's all botryoidal, with glimmers of fire. I wouldn't doubt it.
Might add more when I have the patience... have a great day ya'll. I'm staying in California until March 3rd... until then, I'mma get my rocking on, overdrive. Agates and aate wood and pet wood here in SO CAL, many many colors and patterns. Some good tumbling material, too.

The pictures are out of focus and blurry and thereby not showing the quality of your material. Thanks for trying.

Who cares about the rocks, he's wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt. Rock on brother! (Try taking the pic with the rock farther away so it focuses better and then crop it)

I know about Coon Hollow and Wiley's Well, as well as the geode beds there and the Opal Hill Mine. Those destinations are on the other side of the chocolate Mtns. I have no transportation to get there near Blythe. All I am capable of is searching a one mile radius. 80% of my finds are wood, I'd say. I have so much wood that I can't keep all of it.

*the edited pictures will take some time to replace regular images.
I cracked this one myself. #1
Pet wood looks like a mosaic. Front and back. #2
More wood. This one is like conglomerate with the many fine, tiny fragments of color. #3 #4 Chunk of agate, saturated with color.
#5 lilac colored agate

So your profile says Kentucky. Is that material from there? Amazingly similar to the Wiley Well area material

This material is from southwest of Wiley's Well, on the southern side of the Chocolate Mountains. I collected it all myself. I got smaller pieces in the tumbler running through 60/90.
About my profile... yes I'm from KY, but right now I live in southeastern CA, for a short while. If any of ya'll like bicolored/multicolored pet wood, send me a PM or comment. I gotta get the money to send my specimens to good homes. I also got some agate wood.
Tell me what colors ya'll like, I'll post some more pics.

I am a man of limited resources. I need a saw to cut my finds, and I need a camera to take pictures. But before all that, I must sell enough to purchase either one. A camera would be a smart buy. Some of these images take longer to show after editing.
#6 This sucker could've broke my wrist.
#7 Hey, look, I didn't saturate this one! Front and back.
#8 I call this one "starry night". hurhurhur
#9 Much conglomerate/breccia. So saturated. Part of a nodule I found out in the wastes!
#10 This, I thought, was neat. Pocket size, solid, good grain, pastel colors.
Most of this is going in my suitcase. Dumb, maybe, hard to carry, yes. But lifting the suitcase in the Greyhound bus is Greyhound's problem. Not mine. I feel sorry for those old guys that haven't retired yet and transport baggage to and from the bus.

When I found rock while in another state-I just send it home by Priority mail..It usually beats me home... Those are some nice pieces of rock for sure....

Just when I thought I had a good piece, it shatters with a slight tug. Some wood just isn't solid enough. Some of my best pieces are small, and a webcam does them no justice. I will strive for a camera now.

There are some great cameras out there that won't break the bank! The Companies have jumped up the Pixels and most are great shooters anymore...I would go for 12 and above....I'm looking at one now,it's only $185.00,it does it all...Great camera, our daughter has one,it's a very nice camera.. Seen a few that are pocket size and shoot great photos too,for under a $100 bucks... Remember the photographer does a lot of the work too,not just the camera....So don't really need the high end or dollar cameras... I have a video camera I shoot all my photos with, out wins my cameras,by a mile...The clarity is super cool!!!

My latest camera purchase is a canon sx 50. great camera, ebay around 150. My pocket camera that I take digging is canon a590 is. Great little camera. 8 megapixels with macro mode. I have another canon SLR that I use for rock pictures. It is a T1i, camera is not too badly priced but the lens can get high. Ebay is good for used cameras but also I would check out goodwill or Salvation army. I got a real good canon a560 at a garage sale for 2 bucks. Worked great and gave it to a kid who needed a camera.
