Well hell's bell's coloradocliff. Just dive in and get a knee surgery. Not trading ant bites for knee surgery, no way. You'll have to figure a way to dissipate all that restless energy. Do what Doc says, no cheating. Doctor always wins. Must listen and do what he says. Repercussions never good for deviant patient. Please recuperate and get back on the chase. I have heard plenty of war stories about greenhouse climate control. I always grew crops that agreed 100% with climate conditions. Aquatics were a no brainer. High margin, easy to grow. I diverted a portion of creek water by gravity in a 6 inch PVC pipe about 1800 feet underground and gravity fed my 3 acre growing area. Best thing I ever did, free water at 20 GPM. And it was quite warm during the winter. Since the plants grew in the water i ran constant pisser lines to every water holding box. Free geothermal heat if you will. and free water. But, I must say, in Florida I had 5 acres of fine dead flat land with two 12 psi artesian wells at 100GPM 72F water. Oh man, I shoulda left wife behind and moved there.(she hates FL.) It grew the most temperature sensitive tropical water lilies with out greenhouse. And all other emergent aquatics. Just tap 30GPM and run it down 200-600 foot long ground canals and grow any tropical aquatic on earth. Even below 20F the air above would hardly get cold and never frosted. Slow flow to like 2GPM to maintain water level and let sun heat canals for growth increase rate. It was a growers paradise, especially aquatics. The artesian water at such high 72F flow rates was a mega energy source. The canals were full of exotic aquarium fish. should moved there 20 years ago. As far as the fire pit, I was thinking about steam at the pit for a weird ambiance. Strange mix, steam and fire. I have hemispherical bowls which would allow for a tiny say 1/4" water gap between the bowls when nested. Add a drip/tiny water feed for make up water and I would think the steam would be generated. Enough to make a eerie effect anyway. Well get well ! Looking for a 5 minute mile by this time next year. Why did you have same operation last year ?

Pasture grass Jim? Sounds like yall gettin ready for horses again? LOL No tellin what's next Bill. Right now there's about a dozen dogs visiting for the Atlanta dog show. Guests staying, coming and going. I was laying on the futon last night watching TV while the 'dog people' were out front doing what they do. I had 6-7 dogs laying on top of me till midnight. They just open the front door and rotate them in and out of the house. Lazy hounds 2 feet deep on the futon. Woke up stiff as a board.

Enough to make a eerie effect anyway. Well get well ! Looking for a 5 minute mile by this time next year. Why did you have same operation last year ? Surgery was supposed to be in 10 days but bam.. Had to get it done when the chance came up. Bet your bites hurt more than my knee. Same surgery as last year. We'll see if it helped. I am already doing my job. Busy place this time of year. Fall sales and next years production. You know how it is. Don't do pain killers. Virgin bottle sitting and will sit . Removed foreign material and trimmed a meniscus. Same injury also partially tore the acl. Like being a part of people but not having a cadaver being part of me. Had a friend get his acl done. Couldn't even sit in one of his planes and crop dust or do predator control for 6 months because of the pain. Not the knee but where they harvested spare parts. hehehe Aquatics were something that the arid west treats more a novelty than a reality. Small, artificial ponds mostly. Am lucky to live in a high mountain valley with copious amounts of water. 4 mayor dams store all of our water needs quite handily. No love bugs, palmetto bugs, and we're blessed low humidity. Get hot, take a drive and gain elevation. Winte is a problem for me though. Snow skiing lost its allure years ago. Gray scenery and cloudy gray days aren't going to keep me in my happy place. Have Lived in Orlando and Ft Myers and they're ok but way over populated and crime ridden. Family in Chief land and had been living in South Venice after Mexico got too dangerous even for me. Like Fla for winter. So at this point in life would rather do what I want and be with who I want to be with than being forced to be or do something I'm not. Let the wife live in Georgia and get a place again down in Fla. You could rent part of it in winter to snowbirds and make it cheaper for you. Find a friend or set of friends in Oregon. Montana, Colorado or Utah and summer north and collect there. Might be smarter to rent a house in the area that interests you and home base from there and seek what you will there. The next summer rent in a different area and do it again. Stopped thinking buying now. In the process of selling out real estate now. The nursery is the main one, other places can sell when they sell. They don't need constant attention nor hands on. Don't have to bother with the triple nut nor about selling and security when you aren't there. Let some slumlord do the paper work, fix toilets and reroof for their small profits. Maybe after looking about you can decide what really makes you happy at this point of life and do that. Wont be a slave to things I don't enjoy. Must be hard to have sold out the business and with your high energy and interest level you must pace and putter about unceasingly. Retired a few times in my life and was quickly bored and got back into some business or another. Get your man doing the firepits all alone and summer travel and visit all your friends. Probably at the same point of life you were in back in the day, would have loved to raise tropical fish and aquatics in that set up but we are both over that now. Can still dream though. grin. Love my dreams. The water jacketed ambience machine sound like a real rube Goldberg , Will only keep your fertile mind busy for a bit longer. Also thought about a decorative 18" wide wrought or sculpted iron ledge/protective barrier around the pit. Good place to set the hot chocolate or coffee. The whiskey, of course, wouldn't leave my hand. grin. Makes for a great ambiance and a better singer and a shameless dancer too. Get well Jim and enjoy the cooling of fall upcoming. Will enjoy the aspen leaves turning color soon and will think longingly about the Bone Valley formation, wide beaches and try not to think about whale watching. grin. Cliff

Cliff and his buddies Lmao That stuff is for light weights and victims. Already removed the dressing and the long surgical hose from the off leg. Still have the fishnet pattern..Hmm thinking party here. hehehehe My buddies are 25 year olds that work in the brew pub and are fun and interesting to party with. Love the youngers people. Keeps you perking along. Couple of them have bands and I like to travel to the neighboring towns to support them and to party where I'm not so well known. Not a party animal but a fun and happy mix of life. Farmers market Saturday will see me crutching along in shorts and wife beater shirt. Chatting and hugging older people and buying some squash and fresh veggies. Maybe a cookie but probably not. Life's decisions huh? Grinning at my fun friends.

There was a big fad starting 25 years ago. aquatics peaked 10 years ago. Down hill from there. Dwindled to not worth the effort. I did escape to Florida 2-3 months/year. I really don't want to live there. Renting sounds best now. Better location to interests. Better quarters. May do some more exotic travels. At this age death is less of a concern ha. Risks involved. Retiring is not stopping, big bucket list of non-work related things to do. Lots of them coloradocliff. Get that knee up and running.

Not sure what to say about the fish net... Well in prison they might see the fishnet and say "hey baby, new here? Want to dance?" hehehe The legs looks good as new after 36 hours and after the swelling goes down will be ok. Will pull my staples in a few days. Think I have a staple pulling plier some where. Handy for me. Still swollen like a big dog though. Hope your bites have all scabbed over and stopped being an irritation.

I don't party much anymore. I save the fishnets for festivals and costumery. We did take my son and daughter in law out dancing last Sat night. My son, Blainne said even in 6" heels, I could almost pass for a normal height adult 🙈
