I never realized that testosterone levels were such a focus. Interesting. Tired of chasing my wife around the kitchen table. I think she is tired of being chased around the kitchen table. Enjoying the peace. Energy devoted to some other needed areas. Nothing lost. Not in my mind anyway. They say sex is all in the mind. Never felt that way. Always thought it is a younger peoples game. I never had to take the blue pill, no problems there. Age does not seem to change physical capabilities. But it does change the desirability of our bodies. That is where my problem is. Testosterone, at least for my husband, isn't all about sex. Even when he's low, there has never been problems in that arena. It just makes him nicer. I know that is subjective, but without it, he's cranky, sullen and irritable. I guess depressed would be a word for it. With his autoimmune degenerative bone disease, he takes opiates daily and the doctor told him that is the quickest way to decrease testosterone. It was actually his doctor that originally broached the subject with him. Suggested they check his levels because of his long term need for pain management. Then when he came back quite low, they wanted to supplement. I was against it at first. Thought the added T would make him aggressive ('roid rage'). But it did just the opposite. In fact, it helps with his pain level, or at least his perception of his daily pain. He uses less medication when the levels are up. His doctor said that would be the case and it is. That is what Scott said. I too am on opiates and noticed lethargy. Strong believer in staying active for pain management. Actually mandatory in my case. I see the relationship in testosterone (not just sexual behavior) and activity now that you point that out. Makes sense. Testosterone apparently drives us men. Those opiates have a big effect. Ups and downs too. Ups are feel good high energy, downs are similar to flu symptoms. I figured what you thought, testosterone would make a rage personality. Interesting. I can't tell if the opiates make me grumpy or if it might be testosterone levels. You mention perception, perception is a big player in pain. Take your mind off it and it disappears. Amazing. Loud equipment takes mind of of pain, ATV's, chain saws, weed wackers, etc. Not nagging wife lol. Thanks for the tips. I might try some testosterone. Can you get it over the counter ? Eat Rocky Mountain oysters ? Where does a man find it ?

We have several places in town that cater just to men. The LowT Center and Blue Skies MD are the two that come to mind. Paul gets his directly from his primary care physician. It can come in creams, shots and pellets. Paul prefers the pellets. They last for 3 or 4 months and give a steady release.

I'm picking a doctor in Tijuana now. Graduated from USC. See him soon. ETA Side effects are fat loss, feel great, less pain, hair growth (ughhh), sleep better, voice change .... Medical effects include almost zero chance of prostate cancer, greatly decreased risk of heart disease, cholesterol goes down. A friend of mine was on statins(cholesterol), Prozac(mood), Ambien(sleep), Viagra (obvious). Low T causes higher Cholesterol. Statin fixes this but lowers the T more. Low T brings bad mood and often ED. Four pills. He started Testosterone replacement and Prozac was gone in 2 days. Viagra in a week, Ambien in 3 weeks. The statin was weaned under his heart doctors care 3 months later. One natural drug replaces 4 unnatural ones. Wow!

My DH takes the shots, too. I agree with fantastic5 Ann. It was never about sex. No problem there. He was just always exhausted and moody. His shots make a huge difference for him. He can give them himself, but he just drops by the dr on the home from work once every couple weeks and gets it. He says it doesn't hurt. His T was really low.

Hmmmm...based on those symptoms, I need to get my wife testosterone shots for Christmas. I won't even mind a little back hair, if those symptoms disappear.

I am going to look into it, for BOTH of our benefits. Tired, cranky, having to take too much Hydrocodone when he is in pain (always). Life can stand to be a little more pleasant at times.

I just bought Bowflex Max Trainer. It does not effect my pain issues because of it's design. I have to modify it and add a pivot for my fused ankles, small issue. I will attack this with exercise first. See if that makes a difference. Has to, never felt bad when in good shape. I love to exercise. However, my friend stays in excellent shape, like 20 miles a day on a bicycle. Hikes a lot. His wife has similar complaints, hmmm.

Tela, I used to ride bikes until ~5 years ago. In my 20's and 30's like 200 miles per week. Sometimes 400. They are the bomb for fitness. 2 hours at elevated heart rate - nothing compares. And no shock loading. Arthritis in wrists is making bicycle uncomfortable. If not one thing then another. I wanna try this Max Trainer and work up to those 15 minute kama kazi work outs they advertise. Allows wrist to stay straight. I bought it used for $700 from an overweight gal off Craig's List lol. It is a cross between elliptical, rowing machine, bicycle. All no-shock loading. New technology. Built very well. The foot rests pivot like bicycle pedals to a degree for my fused ankles. Perfect. Been looking for a machine that will work with fused ankles for a long time. excited about using it. My blood pressure is 110/60. Pulse 60. So am in fairly good health for recently being inactive for a year and smoking 1.5 packs/day. Before that my sitting down pulse was below 50. I quit my plant biz this year, that allowed laziness lol. so this possible low T condition, or just being in poorer shape.

Fed Ex man killers. 36 inch fire pits that weigh 148 pounds w/cover. Meaning they qualify for cheap Fed EX Ground(maximum pkg weight 150 pounds). Hate to see the driver have to pick them up and put them in the truck w/out help. I help when I can. 4 of 8 bungs, 900 pounds/bung. Just roll them around. Roll off trailer. BOOM

Have to be happy for a young guy who shoots a big set of horns. Large, non typical white tail. White tails are good eating. That one not because of the age and the rutt. Big horns, poor meat no matter how long its hung or what you soak it in. Remember a huge 4 point muley I shot. Still had the swollen neck from the rut. Weight a ton. Pack mule didn't like all the weight and we didn't like the meat. We gave it away a package at a time. Took a couple years. grin. Leave the old bucks to the young bucks. We all need our memories and happy for him. Huge smile on that young man's face. We would consider that buck a 4 point out west or simply a rose bush eater.. hehehehe Back east he must be considered a 20 point or there abouts huh?

That buck would best be made into jerk Cliff. The whole animal. That's about all he's good for. Brunswick stew and chill if spiced enough. I don't remember the points, maybe a 16. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 280 pounds. Ag fed cow off a big protected farm. They rarely get that big in the forests down here. But the deer raised in natural conditions can be quite gritty critters noted by their horns. Often see 1 inch main beams snapped off in non-farm environment deer. Meaning he hits hard lol. Most crazy ones are 2.5 year old basket rack 8 pointers. Young men in their prime. Crazed by sex even more than you. I have had on 2 occasions basket rack bucks walk up to me sideways to 20 feet away me sitting in a chair. With every hair on end. One of them I had to fire my gun in the ground. Pretty sure he was getting ready to dis-embowell my skinny ass. One time I had 2.5 year deer walk by me during the rut bleeding about the head like a stuck pig, staggering and disoriented probably near death. Breathing way heavy. I harvested him. His ears were split 2 and 3 inches like ribbons(source of blood). He had 6 horn punctures about his head and neck. Obviously a long hard battle. Sweet little Bambi NOT. Not many animals a match for buck w/bad intentions. They are highly aggressive if the doe population is low jacking the competition. The doe ratio completely dictates their aggression. Georgia is allowed 12 does and 2 bucks. Alabama is a doe/day. Many hunt leases reduce the doe population to a healthy ratio just to get the old bucks chasing. Otherwise they lay up in their bedroom and let the gals come to them like you do <GRIN>. lol

Sexy 30 year old, here she is. Gotcha lol. No polka dotted bikinis, sorry. Will use this as a backdrop subject in fire pit ad photos. It will serve as a bright backdrop for fire pit client appeal. Visible on small smart phone ad photos. 50% of sales originate from smart phones. And for demographic appeal for the bulk of fire pit customer's ages 40-55. Many in this age group had one or rode one as kids. And also as a size comparator in ad photos for fire pit size. It will also pull a the fire pit transport trailer to photo shoots and/or to client vehicles when picking up. May weld a bench to the trailer so I can hay ride clients over to the fire pit stock field so they can pick one out themselves.
