I found a few rocks while here in Oceanside. Not sure how they will tumble but it will be fun trying. My husbands family think I'm crazy. Andrea

I was in Oceanside 2 weeks ago and sent myself a mfrb of those beach rocks! They have been rolling for 2 weeks now and I am pleasantly surprised by how well they are smoothing out. I figured there would be a lot of pitting, but that'S not the case.
Besides the rock......I was mesmerized by the sound of the rocks tumbling over each other as the waves retreated.
You have a great batch of rocks there!

txrockhunter I'm happy to hear yours are tumbling nicely. I can't wait to get them started. I like the sound the rocks makes too but it's not so fun when the rocks are tumbling over your feet as the waves retreat. Andrea

Lots of possibilities in there! It's nice that they're already part way tumbled.

Looks like an interesting assortment. Looking forward to seeing them finished. May have to go see the sort-of-cousin-in-law who lives down there.
Nah, probably not. Still want to see what you do with them, though.

Just having been there, I don't think that's a tattoo.......I think it's a bruise from the rocks that beat up your ankles as the waves retreat! Man, that hurts! You came home with a ton of great rocks!!! I can't wait to see what your tumbles look like!! Just to give everyone a little perspective, here is what the beach looks like.......

You came home with a ton of great rocks!!! I can't wait to see what your tumbles look like!! Just to give everyone a little perspective, here is what the beach looks like....... It could very well have been a bruise but it's not. Those rocks sure did hurt when the went rolling back with the waves. That's exactly what the beach looked like. Rocks everywhere. I think the others were a little disappointed with all the rocks but I was happy. There were areas with sand so they were able to find a sandy spot for themselves. txrockhunter I want to see pics of your rocks from Oceanside if possible when you get a chance. As a group we were a little crazy. 7 out of 11 of us got tattoos while we were there. Here's my new one. He is starting to peel a little so he doesn't look smooth. It's on the side of my leg just above my ankle and it's about the size of the palm of my hand. I think the foot hurt worse when I got that one. Andrea

Owls are beautiful and amazing birds. Great choice. I love fairies and dragons but too many dragons out there so I went with fairy. Get some strange looks from guys but a lot of females comment on it. Tink, the sexiest fairy in the land. Jim

Cool looking rocks and cute tattoo. You might look to see if you got any petrified whale bone. Some friends went to the beach near Santa Barbara and came back with gem quality bone. I don't know if it is found where you were but I suppose it's possible.
