Needed a new electric shaver. Looked up reviews and found super bad azz Braun Series 7. A new German technology using super high speed blades.
It arrived and I was disgruntled by the amount of maintenance required. It sits blades down in a lubrication tank. A tiny built in computer tells you when a full cleaning is needed. And rather often.
Anyway, I wanted to return it, never turned it on.
Amazon said I could not return it because the lubricant is considered hazardous material. i.e., liability issues.
They gave me a full refund ! and I begged to ship it back to them. They said no.
Will never question Amazon's loyalty to their customers. They recently refunded a camera that I dropped too. They sent that refund the second UPS entered it into their computer at the shipping desk. So they did not even have the camera in hand.

I've been using Amazon for years and I have had Prime for a couple years. They just built a new walmart a few blocks from me and I still would rather shop AZ. I can get what I want and not be forced to buy Chinese crap. Returns are actually easier at AZ. No long lines or sideways looks from cashiers. I have NEVER had a bad experience at AZ. Period. My only complaint is that I wish they took Paypal.

Find what you want cheaper than anywhere in town and without the expense of running around all over!
But then you have to buy all that stuff you really don't want to get "free shipping" ...

I generally like Amazon, but have had problems with receiving counterfeit products from them recently.

Used that Braun Series 7 shaver. That thing is a beast. Expensive but sonic fast. Upon reinstalling it on the cradle you push a button and it goes through a computer controlled cleaning process. The cradle has an alcohol/lubricant resovoir.

I generally like Amazon, but have had problems with receiving counterfeit products from them recently. Could that be because they do not have everything in their warehouse and this are not shipping everything? Stores outside of Amazon can sell on Amazon and ship.

I love my Amazon Prime membership. I have actually ordered something one evening and had it at my doorstep the next. I can't understand when someone else tells me it will take 3 weeks to have something delivered. Free and FAST shipping, excellent customer service and no hassle returns. I have been a Prime member for a few years. What's not to love? PS jamesp ... I like the Braun shaver also (think mine is series 8) and refill reservoir with rubbing alcohol a few times before changing. Alao, a 4 pack in non retail package can be bought on Amazon at significant savings...and I have them within 2 days! For election season.....I'm Jeff A and I approve this message....

Kidlet and I split the membership too! But, delivery promises have been wonky. "Tomorrow" meant three days later recently.

That brain series 7 is over $150!!
I looked thinking might be easier to shave my dome. That is like 10 years worth?

@shotgunner. I had same experience. I wrote a note about it. Answered right away. They explained that their system knew my item was in the warehouse near me. However, it was wrong color, so they had to fetch right color from a more distant warehouse. Took a day or two. I had it by the end of the week.
For my trouble, they gave me $$ credit for future purchases of Amazon goodies. The credit was automatically applied to my purchases.
That was nice! Happy camper here.

I've hustled on the Amazon floor -- pulling products I walked fast at least 22 miles a day somewhat like rock hounding
they wanted you to hit 98 items an hour pulled I never made it 85 was about overall my best
but I was steady eddie and I probably could have got hired on full time it was interesting adventure maybe I'll do it again this holiday season
o and I sold rock'n hearts there always looking for the Amazon angle

Yep, I saved one to my cart for when I am ready to upgrade. I just went and checked it...$198. Dang, I don't remember it being that much! I keep replacing the cutting foil on my old one but I'm noticing motor fatigue and will have to replace soon. Won't own another Remington...they seem to pluck the stubble instead of cut it.. @shotgunner ...what are you using for the dome? It costs me about $13 to get scalped about once a month...I do keep about an inch on top, tight sides but that is $168 a year. Wifey says I better not start shaving the head yet. As captbob so eloquently out it "wimmins!" That cracked me up.
