Thanks 1dave for the info. I was aware of the cloud because I got hit with ads when I set up the new computer. I was wary and now I know for good reason. A T-bite external hard drive is quite reasonable now and if only turned on when backing up there is not much chance of someone getting into it. Looks like a gimmick to me but some people need a LOT of storage I guess.
I have so little to back up (hard drive and photos) I can get by with zip drives but my photos are starting to use up a lot of space so I may have to go to something larger in the future. Jim

I'm bothered by programs like PS only being available via the Cloud. You can't own it anymore. You have to lease it.

Have you checked free ware for a different program that will come close to Photo Shop? I do not do much editing so Faststone works for me. It has a lot of edit options. Jim

Jim Actually, I have an old PS6. And, I can use Gimp in a pinch. GIMP is free and every bit as good as PS. It just bugs me the way programs make you be online now.

I get bored with Solitaire and Hearts. I tried finding other games i used to enjoy like Chinese Checkers etc. They only offer on line games. I downloaded one. 8-10 on line players tried to play against me while I was trying to read the rules. They all called me a jerk and dropped off before I got half way through. I had to find the latest Microsoft way of deleting programs, finally dumped it and will never try that again. I'm getting too old for all this new crap, but paint.net is a good photo editing program.
