I don't think I have ever taken a picture of a plate of food.
Family gathered for a holiday meal yeah, but never my meal.
The limes for the tacos or your beer?
Where da bottle of Taco Bell sauce be?

captbob, photographing food is a jamesp and @shotgunner thing, lol. Limes for the tacos, no doubt. Even better on fish tacos. James, looks like you got a trifecta (pork, chicken and beef) going on there, how yummy. But... Those look suspiciously like flour tortillas, way too fluffy for corn tortillas. Authentic Mexican tacos use hand made corn tortillas. Flour tortillas used to make burritos.

Authentic or not, must have cheese! No cheese in a real Mexican taco. Those are very close to authentic. Wrong tortilla. Gringo taco with cheese. ¿Tu Quiere Taco bell?

Yum! Yep got to have corn tortilla, tomatos and seranos in the pico, and cheese ( Tex-Mex here) and maybe a touch of guac. And, got to have a Mexican Coke with it. Made with real cane sugar. None of that American coke crap....Mel

Scott's right, cheese a rare ingredient in tacos Randy. Salsa and green hot sauce for the tacos not in photo Bob. Yes, limes for tacos. They were out of radishes and cucumbers. Sliced radishes almost always served w/tacos. Seemed like flour Jean, not corn, but not sure. Usually they use the thick corn. Authentic tacos usually packed with cilantro.
al pastor champiñones chorizo camarones lengua pescado, all delicious without the cheese. But they will put it on for you.
It amuses them when you ask for authentic, cook sneaks a look at you from behind the wall.

It is good to see that you actually stop working long enough to eat. I was beginning to wonder.

One of the perks of living in Chicago - delicious Mexican food. No cheese needed anywhere near those! I can't even eat at Mexican places in most other cities. If we see every plate coming from the kitchen covered in cheese, we're outta there!

Cheddar makes it better. We must agree to disagree.... The cheddar thing was a commercial for the dairy farmers or something. But surely you can climb down off your mexican high horse long enough to let me enjoy a little cotija with my otherwise 'authentic' taco? I promise, no cheez whiz.
