I see some really nice high quality stuff in the photos section. I'm just wondering where does everyone get their tumbling rough material from? Are there any good vendors online that sell high quality stuff? I usually buy rough lots on ebay but they have been hit or miss quality wise. Looking for other sources, thanks!

I buy my stuff from the RockShed off the web and from members on this board through the Buy, Sell, Swap area. A number of members go out and rockhound their supply. Unfortunately, in Ohio, there aren't really any rockhounding opportunities other than Flint Ridge unless I want to travel out of state.

Cool thanks! I'm in Ohio as well! I'll have to check out Flint Ridge when it warms up

Jake I will second that but rock hounding is very good around here if your looking for old grey rocks all they way to the core. Ohio is the "grey rock" state. HA the home of the Buckeyes...

That is true. And the rocks here are grey. But the Ohio State football team is scarlet and grey. Hard as a rock Go Buckeyes
