Not my listing. www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-15-lb-Rotary-Brass-Tumbler-/282328649448?hash=item41bc194ee8:g:seIAAOSwLEtYfadpThis looks to be a knockoff of the Tumler's 15 pound tumbler. High speed motor - normally used for polishing shell casings. The equivalent (high speed) unit from Thumlers goes for $197 at the Rock Shed. Price for this one on eBay is $115 (or make offer) and only $10 for shipping. RPM on listing says 40RPM - Thumlers on Rock Shed says 30RPM If the listing RPM is correct, this sucker is one fast spinner! Seller only has 17 feedback, but they all seem to be for selling this tumbler. Feedbacks seem to be favorable. With all the experimenting going on around here with tumbling rocks, I figured what the heck ... Maybe there is a place for a high speed barrel in my line up. So I have one on the way. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Heck, the barrel by itself sells for 90 bucks on the rock shed. Seller had 3 units left available. NOT a standard rock tumbler - TOO FAST. But maybe someone else here has a use for a high speed tumbler to play with. Can't beat the price and feedbacks seem to be good - so I thought I'd share this with ya'll ETA: as expected, this forum changed the eBay listing to the eBay Canada site. Don't know why. This is a US listing.

Looks like a fine roughing machine for Mohs 7 rocks and 80% fill. Or for Mohs 7 and 70% fill with slurry thickener. That and a vibe to finish.

I have a double 12#er that runs near 55rpm. I have to open it mid-week to bring back volume up to 3/4 and add some water. If I don't top it off and thin it out a little I get impact damage. Sure does grind fast though.

I have one Of these. I purchased it the last Time it was on ebay. . It is Identical to the Thumler in every way except the carriage and drum screws, motor is the same and parts do interchange . It is a 3000 rpm motor same as the HI speed thumler.. There is no paperwork inside showing where it was made. It is a professionally done machine. . Basic directions . . well built The color Blue is an exact Match to Diamond Pacific Blue . I have a T-12 . when I got mine it was $110.00 + ship $10.00 There are No markings anywhere on the machine Or rubber drum. The liner and gasket Look good also. I,m sorry I did not Buy 2 for the money This machine is not something you can make @ home. The box packing is also professional. . Sal

Thanks for the review Sal. Haven't received mine yet, glad the motor and parts are the same as Thumler's B. I couldn't find this build anywhere using Google. See these all sold in eBay listing.

Got mine yesterday, it sure is pretty. Gonna set it up tomorrow because I have a need to see if high speed rotation can do something I am unable to get done in my Thumler's 15 barrels. I think the problem is the rock is just too big, but maybe high speed will get it done it for me.
I noticed the different shipping location. Supposedly for cleaning brass, but I couldn't find it on any of the gun supply sites either.
Will report back eventually on what I think about the high rpm tumbling of rocks.

Disappointing. 25 RPM not 40 RPM as the listing stated.
Full barrel or empty barrel does not matter - 25 RPM is all it will do.
Don't mind getting what is basically another Thumler's Model B 15 pound tumbler added to my collection for half the price of a Thumler's, but I was looking forward to trying a higher RPM tumbler.
Mounted motor has the spec label facing down. Will take the motor off and see what it says - if it has different RPM specs from the motor that is on my (low speed) Thumler's units. Thumler's Model B (for rocks not for cleaning brass) has a 1550 RPM motor. I believe this blue high speed unit should have a 3000 RPM motor on it. Betting it doesn't.

Probably wouldn't be hard to find or have made a smaller pulley for the drive shaft .

I have the high speed B and this thing isn't close. Also it's not nearly as stable: it wobbles quite a bit. The pulleys are the same size. If mine is representative of the lot, then I don't recommend. Colin

I really do not Know How to clock It Just by Looking Using white out or nail polish or some other method mark a spot on the barrel. Take a 15 second video of it turning. Count the dot each time it comes around. Multiply the count by 4. That is your revolution per minute. Watch video over and over if needed.
