I'll only be there Saturday morning, but I'll try to remember to wear my blue camo boonie hat. I might be able to make myself wear a San Diego Charger T-shirt, but still smarting from that fiasco. LOL...

LOL... Craig Craig, Susan (Bluesky) are still on for being in the Lavic/Pisgah Crater area on Saturday. You have my info, so shoot me a text or a phone call if you want to try to meet up. BTW, you're referring to the Los Angeles Chargers, aren't you? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Dave

Gonna get ugly.... I talked to my rockhounding pal Frank and we will more than likely see you at Lavic. Should be cell phone coverage out there.

Lol Unless the Broncos come to town. jeannieFor me it looks like the failed futbol team thr LA Chivas have morphed into the new throwball team in LA; the Chargers.

I'm with ya on that, Craig. I have been a fan forever (had a neighbor that played for them back in 1966!), have gotten tired of the constantly mediocre seasons, but recently pissed off by the greedy owner. Glad to see them go. LA, you are welcome to them, lol.
Now we just have to make sure the soccer folks don't start with the closed-room deals with mayor Faulconer, trying to get the taxpayers to play for their little funland.

You know the whole MLS thing is kind of weird, scammy. I've been a soccer coach since 1971...AYSO, Club, High School...and I have very little interest in it. I would rather see SDSU get that land and expand the campus. Of course I'm an Aztec so go figure. Mayor jumped in too quick when he took forever to back any Charger plan. Sounds like a car dealer...buy it today only at this low, low price...

socalagatehound Craig, exactly! Just like a car wheeler-dealer! Never did care much for that guy. Seems San Diego has had more than its share of sucky/shifty mayors and other politicians. But hey, we are just ugly stepchildren out in the county! The County Board of Supervisors are looking out for our best interests (sarcasm). Although the SD mayor represents the city dwellers, I'm pretty sure whatever deal he strikes for a new "whatever" will also be paid for by non-city dwellers. I would love to see SDSU get that land as well.

Thanks to Christopher ( christopherl1234), Dan ( <'))))>< Fish), John ( johnjsgems) and the other rockhounds who made the Victor Valley tailgate show. That club sets up a great time and it was good seeing everyone! Picked up some new pieces and a new saw blade! Great show, guys! ... anyone going to the Vista CA show?...

I'm going to try. One of the local (to San Diego County) shows and I think we should always try to support the locals club. Vista is, in my opinion, the best one for grabbing some cool slabs and rough in San Diego area. Bigger than the El Cajon show, probably because it's closer to Orange County. I had a short, but great, time at Stoddard Wells and spent too much money....and loved every minute of it. My wife, bless her heart for putting up with my ob$e$$ion with rocks, might be tempted to put her foot on my wallet after that, so Vista still up in the air.

socalagatehound: Ditto on the money thing. Spent more than intended and enjoyed spending every bit of it, LOL. I had a fencing contractor in that afternoon so I was up there when they opened and ducked out about 11:00 AM. Hopefully we can all meet up in Vista.

I will be set up at Vista. Many were excited about my fluorescent minerals and lights. I will have more at the show. Plus more.
