I got my AO 80 from where jamesp recommended off of eBay, Abrasive Armory. Super fast shipping and cheap. I just ordered 40lbs of SiC 60 from them for $86 shipped. I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and it was here yesterday morning. I wanted to go with 47/70 but they didn't have a listing for 40lbs. The SiC 60 and the 60/90 were the same price so I just went with the graded 60. I pulled my batch out of the vibe yesterday after 2 days in AO 14,000, and I am really happy with the results. I will post a thread this afternoon, got busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to take pictures or anything. Jake

Thats something i need to look into on the AO 14,000. Maybe next run I will document the polishing of particular stones after 24 hrs, 2 days, 3 days, and 4 days. Last batch I ran at 3 days and don't think its noticeably different but its not a side by side comparison of the same rock so tough to tell.

Jake A good way to compare polishes is by running a batch of same type rocks. Pull a couple of rocks each day and stick them in numbered bags. replace as needed That way you can compare them easily. See the progression well. The vibe makes good polish compound from coarse AO 80. I need to run the AO 80 into five days wet with the thickish slurry that the coarse particles make. May get improvement in polish.
