11/11/2021 - I went back as far as page 10 of the Equipment board looking for any DIY build threads that I missed and added the ones I found to the page. Sadly I had to remove several builds due to broken photos, etc. I have sent out several notes asking the OP if they have the original photos and will add those back if I can. At page 10 I began bumping into threads that I had already added so I stopped there. As always, if you know of or find a build thread that should be enshrined on the DIY page and is not, please bring it to my attention in this thread, thanks! -------------------- 7/20/17 Releasing V.2 update! No more pages, now categories Fixed a lot of the Photobucket broken images -------------------- I'm proud to unveil this as proof that good things can come from sketchy beginnings . Thank you to captbob for the idea. DIY Projects pagesThis is a work in progress so please send me a link to any project that was missed - I know there are some. As new projects progress I will attempt to keep an eye on them but please tag me if you think a project has progressed to the point where it needs to be enshrined in these pages.

Nicely constructed section. Lots of oldies but goodies in there. Good seeing what each is about. Well done. MrP you need to check your link. Never mind here is the link - forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/30484/er-rollNow I'm gonna have to build something - other than a mess - to get in the archives! jamesp may need his own subsection

Home made stuff. Can be the finest. Dodges the regulators and can be totally effective. Well captbob, I get the ugly award for sure. Effective not always pretty. This is a great compilation Tommy. Organized and brain stimulating. RTH Images are born !

This is a great compilation Tommy. Organized and brain stimulating. RTH Images are born ! Thank you sir. Speaking of organized, I was initially thinking of breaking it into categories ... saws, tumblers, cabbers, etc. but it started rolling and I think it looks good visually like it is. If it expands beyond manageable I can always go on v.2 and add a splash page menu with categories.

Various grinders have become popular. No doubt categorizing is a good move. I assure you the tumbling folks would like to see said category. Excellent improvement.

I kinda like 'em all intermingled. Sure, I may be looking for tumbler builds, but maybe I'll stumble something else (like a super grinder) along the way that sparks my interest or gives me an idea.
Do they move on the pages if something gets posted to one of the threads?

Do they move on the pages if something gets posted to one of the threads? No movement - they were manually placed into the page by me. It's actually all one page with zone widgets - pagination is handled between the widgets by a java script that I was assisted with by a helpful Proboards admin. As you can see the three I added into the first page today has thrown the number of projects per page off for now - It's a bit disruptive to move between the widgets so I'll eventually balance the pages again in the dead of the night. I like the intermingling too. I'm not sure if the ADD (anal-retentive?) side of me can live with the randomness of it - not having them not sorted by either alpha or date - we shall see

I'm not sure if the ADD (anal-retentive?) side of me can live with the randomness of it - not having them not sorted by either alpha or date - we shall see I'm with captbob on this. I like the randomness, even though I'm typically prone to liking things organized which causes me to favor the forum over something like the Facebook groups. That's a different thread, however. In the case of the projects, if they were segmented into groups, so to speak, I probably wouldn't have spent time looking at the variety of projects that folks have worked on. If I had simply been interested in going to a tumbler area, I'd be less likely to be exposed to some of the other neat stuff that folks had done, just due to segregation. If it were one big continuous page, it might be too much in terms of randomness. But, since it's paginated, the number of projects is not too overwhelming. Of course, YMMV. Regards. Dave

Does anyone remember the thread where a member has a grinder or grinders hanging on a wall? Was that your's NDK? I remember being struck by how cool that setup was but I can't seem to find it to see if it is "home made" enough for the page.

I like the concept of thumbnailed links. There are some really neat tumblers designs in there. I don't see my favorite one though Chuck
