Ok, I was going to wait until I wrote in my blog about my latest California adventures (in April) but it seems like I can't seem to get the post written on the blog so I'm not going to wait for that to post this contest.
I went on a trip to central California with some other rockhounds in April and covered a lot of ground. I came back with some really nice Plasma Agate along with Mariposite, jasper, and agates from the Cady's. The other contest I did was so much fun I decided to do another one.
The winner will get this SFRB of jasper/agate from the Cady's mountains. It is mostly small pieces of rough (under 2").
The contest starts now and ends at 8 pm Arizona time Sunday, May 14, 2017 (tomorrow). Guess how many miles I covered during my trip. Contest open to any RTH member, yes, this time it's for even the old farts on here - Tommy ...lol. Two guesses per member (can be posted at the same time or different times). Winner will be the first person to guess the exact number of miles I traveled according to the trip odometer on my truck. If no one guesses the exact number the winner will be the person closest to the exact number without going over it. Contest open to U.S. members only unless the international member wants to help pay for the shipping.
Clear as mud?
I'm only giving hints here since I'll be offline until tomorrow. I will try to check in on Sunday afternoon but you're on your own until then.
Hint #1: It is more than 1000 miles
Hint #2: I left from Aguila, AZ on Apil 8th, 2017 and went to Mariposa, CA then on to the Panoche Hills area and Clear Creek Management area near Coalinga, CA then went to Ludlow, CA area, then to Lancaster, CA (did a weekend rock show with someone), then back to Ludlow, CA for some jasper hunting, then finally ended up back in Aguila, AZ area on May 5th, 2017.
Good luck!
