I noticed the not so veiled attempt at an alpha male war gearing up. Please don't. We all love both of you. You both have your endearing qualities and you can both get on people's nerves sometimes. But, we do love you anyway. Please, let's not have another row on the board. That's what PMs are for. I can see that this is going to get ugly. No one needs it.

Tela in your capacity as a moderator and deputy sheriff I say this.. I blocked this person and the attack was answered back only. I see some of the people who have been on the forum longer who feel that that are somehow superior to the people who just started. In most cases the people who have just started are real good people and very successful, a lot very well educated, many have employees who like them as a boss and are respected members in their communities. New here doesn't mean new to life. People like that don't allow mean people to run their meanness out and be used to attack their fellow forum members. Fewer and fewer new members stay on and one reason is this. The forum has gotten a lot more friendly and fun for a while now. I like the vast majority of people on here and talk constantly to them. Yeah I know.. me talk? grin.
I stay committed to my promise to Tommy and now you that I wont attack anyone unless attacked first. They get the first shot and then after that, they get their comeuppance. I will again go back to being the friendly and happy person I am but if an ogre attacks me or innocent people I will respond. I promise to not ever go at it first. Being a mean bully doesn't make you an Alpha.. Being capable and making a difference does. A leader of people in life, war and always stopping to help deserving people. An alpha never needs to beat people down to make them selves seem better.
Thank you for doing your job and if the job of sheriff above you opens up you have my vote. I still support the old sheriff. Meant the current young, good looking sheriff, not "old". .. grin. Thank you Miss Moderator..I will comply.

The thing is... this is an internet forum. We don't know each other in the real world. We may find someone we absolutely love and connect with online only to find out we can't tolerate them in person. The opposite is also true. We can't really determine who a person is by how well someone is able to express themselves online. I'm sure if you two sat down to a beer, you'd get along just fine. At least for as long as there is beer.  The point is, you two express yourselves differently. I do not see the problems that you do. I see Scott being Scott. But, I have been "knowing" him a long time, so I know what to expect from him. I count him as an RTH friend and I hope I can count you as the same. We all go about things differently. Just have an open mind and read between the lines. Maybe he just rubs you wrong when you expect him to. One of the things I greatly admire about Scott is that he is not afraid to disagree. I love when we disagree. I think we both learn from it. I don't take it as an affront when he calls me out because I trust that he wouldn't do so without good reason. Anyway...... My post was not actually in my moderator capacity. I'm just a board member who likes you both and I hate to see a simmering flame war started. |

And then when called on it, doubled down with with the specific little boy he had his eyes on. EVEN IF KIDDING, who the eff says that? Wowsers. Then he calls ME out for being mean to women? WTF? That's laughable. If I am rough on someone it ain't gender based. I personally know face to face quite a few of the women here. I'm sure I ain't perfect. But I'm also sure they would agree I ain't a woman hater. Now that he has blocked me, life will be a blessing. Nope. He will still overpost and make nonsense comments and grins and giggles. Crap. I have to block him to avoid all that crap. Can not block on a phone far as I can tell. Anyways Tela, when we disagree we both learn. Yes. We do! Thank you. You are an e-friend for me as well. I often tell my wife that I need to buy me a kid from insert country here to do a job I don't want to do. I am more likely to walk on the surface of the Sun than buy a kid, but IT IS A JOKE! Kinda like when I say "There's my girlfriend!" every time Taylor Swift is on TV. |

Guys being guys,hardly different from the school yard,words being thrown around,hands being thrown around, and if any one wants to throw rocks throw them this way, whether your male or female, or how smart or successful, or not, we all tend to let loose here, kinda what makes it fun we can't be serious 100% of the time, no fun in that. Plenty of people some times make comments that make a person raise an eyebrow. Diversity makes this forum great,  Besides we all know I'm the Alfalfa of the forum. I have the cowlick to prove it.  |

I haven't been here as long as a lot of the old hounds, but even I have noticed the new wave.
