I bought FOUR very top end expensive slabs on ebay. I waited almost patiently for them to come in the mail. I was already contemplating how to cut them. I had one client interested in some cabs after I sent a her a picture. Finally it came. It seemed like forever, but it was actually on time. Hmmm.... the box seemed rather small and had no weight. I checked to see if it was messed up allowing the slabs to slip out. But, no. The box was in perfect shape. I open it up and find a tiny sliver of OJ. WTF!? I flipped out.
Obviously, the labels were mixed up. I quickly got off a message without any swear words and with all the niceness I could muster, but I was adamant that I wanted my highly anticipated, expensive slabs. The seller promised to get back to me. Well, after a few days, they hadn't. I surmised that the lucky recipient of my gorgeous slabs would be in no big hurry to send them back.... and I was right. I sent another query. No word from the other winner. The seller promised to replace the slabs by tomorrow if they got no word about my slabs.
So...... tomorrow I will update. I want slabs AT LEAST as good as the ones I paid for. If that happens I will gladly recommend this big seller. If not, then consider this part of a scorching review. The mistake, though honest, was not mine. I feel I should be compensated in some way for my anxiety and time lost. I'm not asking for or expecting a lot. I just want what's fair.

I hope the seller can make this right for you. Such a huge disappointment. I wonder if this is the guy who thought they were getting the little sliver of OJ?

Sorry for your luck, Tela. Sucks when you're so excited for something that doesn't come to fruition. Hope it gets squared away in a hurry for you. In these type situations, I never expect or demand any extra compensation, I figure I'm just setting myself up for more agitation if that doesn't go well either. But I will take note of their response and that can determine if we will do further business. If really perturbed, I just ask for a refund and cancel order and future considerations.

Yeah, honestly, I'll be perfectly happy with slabs of the same quality. Yet, if I were the seller, I know I'd throw something in for their trouble. It's just good business. We'll see how it goes.

I just got an email that the items shipped (again). Obviously, they are NOT what I bought. Why they didn't run a few pictures by me first- I don't know. Or, even sent me an email. I guess, I'll just have to wait and see what I get.

Boy, I only had that happen once and the guy ( I bought from him a lot) sent me some outstanding extra stuff to make up for the inconvenience.
Sorry to hear about your problem. It does surprise me that the seller did not run some pics by you before shipping the stuff. Unless they are sending the original material, it should be you deciding what replacement you would accept, not the seller deciding what you will like. Interested to see what they send and hope is is nicer than what you ordered....Mel

I had one similar experience where the seller was very nice and sent something extra. Another seller never returned e-mails, then closed that email account and shortly after left Ebay. They had a very high rating. This was before Ebay warranted things, so they said nothing they could do, since the seller had left.
Hope you get some great stuff.

Hopefully they are sending you sister slabs, hence no need for extra pictures. Keep us updated.

Thankfully, it was once.

I have had a couple bad seller experiences on ebay, not with rocks though. I was also once the seller who switched address labels on 2 boxes, after full refunds to both they happily sent the items to each other. It was car parts so I'm sure they didn't want what they got anyway.

I don't hold them at fault for an honest accident.

A lot of dirty people on Ebay anymore... I quit it long ago... I have run into a few bad apples, but I'd say 99.9% of my very many transactions have gone well. This seller wasn't dishonest- he just made a mistake. I can live with that. I just want it fixed.

A couple hours after I got the shipping notification, I got another message saying that the wrong recipient has AGREED to send my slabs to me. I guess they mailed him a label to put back on the box. I have to wait for them to get the label and to ship it and for it to get to me. Oh well, at least I'll get my slabs. I hope they are packed well for the journey.
I'll update again when I get something.
I must note that it is awfully cool that the other winner is sending them back to me. They could have kept them.

Faith in humanity restored But they didn't ask you to send the OJ to the other buyer?
