:'(awww.... dem poor emeralds...... So whatchya got in there now? ;D are they done yet? ;D And, uh, mine? ummm they didn't do to good ....... maybe I need to leave them in there longer.. and quit skipping that prepolish. lol Even tho I swear it doesn't look like it works ... ::)Maybe it does. As far as pictures.. I haven't taken any, and mine weren't emeralds they were just a mixture of different kinds.. but I skipped pictures.. especially since they seem to have shrunk on me... whats upwith that? But I definitely think you're right about "more" tumblers" I still have boxes lined up waiting to be tumbled next.. lol I was thinking about getting one of them bigger ones for xmas.. (since me and santa don't see eye to eye anymore) But I'm not sure.. cuz as it iz I go through my grit and polish just as fast as I collect rocks lol.. so figured until I master the use of them..and the whole "patience" thing.. .. I better stick to what I got for now.. I dunno.. maybe I should just invest in a cab machine I sure like cabs .. Only thing I'd be scared of is loosing a limb.. lol ;D (JUST ADDED) Oh yeah.. I dunno if you figured it out or not, but incase you wanted to post pics of this batch (hint hint) .....I just recently figured out that whole picture thingy.. for the less fortunate that don't have SaaAATelite..like soOMe people.. lol. Myself.. I still get my reception off a catus lol.. ;D Roxy

Hey wolfden, I agree......Roxy is wayyyy entertaining. I just see her name and I go check out the thread and see what she's written. Roxy, buy a cabbing machine!!! I assure you that you wont lose a limb. You might grind down a fingernail, or maybe the prints off the end o' your finger but thats about it. LOL Shannon

LOL.. Only huh?... Well Weeshaun.. trust me. my luck.. I'd loose a limb.. Or an eye.. cuz I know first hand how fun a cabbing machine would be... when I first met Jamie I used to go over there and she was teaching me how.. not only did I send a few rocks flying through the air.. But I could of sworn I lost some flesh along with it.. LOL.. But I am seriously thinking about it.. cuz I hardly get over to her house to play anymore.. .. so .. Either.. I might have to set up post and wait for ol st. Nick to try and cruise past my house.. Or pull a Adrian and build my own.. But that could easily turn disastrous.. lol So we'll see.. ;D Roxy

Roxy,
That reminds me of the first thing that I did with my Cabmate when I got it. The Cabmate is a single wheel machine so the only thing holding the wheel on is a nut. I didnt tighten my 80 grit jadecarver diamond wheel down tight enough (oops, Im not mechanically inclined), turned the machine on and next thing I knew my wheel was spinning right off the machine at an alarming rate. It was like watching a bad accident in slow motion. I just sat there watching it for a few seconds LOL. I was thinking uhhhhhhhhhhhh, what do I do now? I cant grab it, it will chew up my hand. Oh right, dumb a*s, turn the machine off. I turned it off and continued to watch it spin and then THUNK! It fell into my water tray, which is plastic by the way. Fortunately it just put a few chew marks in it and didnt grind right through. I was almost afraid to use the machine after that LOL. But I got over it.

LOL Trust me.. It ain't safe nowhere when I'm behind a cab machine.. Just ask Jamie.. ...Now I know why she would take off running around the other side of the house.. and leave me unattended with a rock and machine Of course after a few times of showing her what was suppose to be a cab..(more like a crooked blob)..I would be tracking up her floor ,looking like I just crawled outta the swamp.. all the while leaving a few finger tips behind in her catch all tray.... I went back to tumbling my rocks.. See Weeshaun.. it's things like that .. that worry me to death.." not mechanically inclined" I have a tendency to forget to do stuff like that too..... Wolf if you ever did get to building me one.. it would have to be idiot proof.. seriously.. I'd be the first one to make the five O'Clock news for killing myself with a rock grinder. lol ;D At least You two ain't afraid ... I try not to be afraid.. but those stinging memories still taunt me in the back of my mind... lol ;D... think I need therapy huh... Roxy

Roxy,
You arent in therapy yet? I thought we all were. Or am I the only one? ROTFL.
Maybe you could attach your cabs to a 3 foot long dop stick and then at least you wouldnt be putting yourself in harms way.

Well I thought playing with rocks was sort of my therapy.. until I seem to have caught myself up in the extreme end of the hobby.. now I don't know if the boxes and boxes and buckets full of rock is a sign of something is wrong with me.. or that my neighbors look at me funny cuz I decorate my yard with rocks.. (being in the desert and full of rocks as it is) and theirs all have nice little trees and pots and flowers.. mine.. just rocks and dirt.. Or that my folks think I fried a few too many brain cells back in high school cuz I decorate the inside of the house with rocks too.. or as my mom says " roxy.. why do you have the outside inside?" LOL.. so you tell me.. maybe I need a new source of therapy?? I dunno Drugs and doctors didn't work.. but I like to think my rocks do?? lol.... ;D Roxy
