We should have a photo contest (funniest photo wins) to encourage people to take pics.

Nice, Susan Bluesky78987. I missed that Swasi Agate. Dang. I'll get photos up later today, though I don't have near the amount that you do. Gotta email them to myself (from my phone) to send to Flickr.

I guess I just got into the habit of doing that long before I established a Flickr account. Thanks Scott. I had never even looked into that. Guess I'll have to get the app. Nevertheless, all of the photos are on my laptop now, so all I have to do is upload them and post them here. Should be able to do that after running all of our errands today.

OK, my turn. Not alot of photos, but I hope you'll get an idea of what we saw. Susan Bluesky78987 doing what she does best. Looking at every.single.slab at a booth. Bill orrum doing a demo of cold forge wire wrapping. I gotta tell you, he is a kick in the butt to speak with. I have attended events that had champion story telling folks (yep, that's a legitimate competition), and he's right up there with them. He's a peach, and a great guy to hang out with. He ended up doing a piece for my wife. Bill didn't have his horse with him, but this was the next best thing. My wife found a new friend. Great Dane and Mastiff all rolled into one. Angus was the name. Appropriate for the size of the dog. Tony's catmandewe booth at Desert Gardens. Lots of stuff to look at, and he was a great host for the BBQ's that took place over Friday and Saturday. Pretty much the layout of Desert Gardens. Long aisles of vendor booths. Vendors park their RVs/trailers and put their booths next to them. I ended up finding a booth with condor agates. Very, very impressive. The vendor was really friendly, and she allowed me to take photos of her material. At the end of the day, I bought 4 lbs of nodules to cut and tumble. Granted, I was a low end buyer. Some of the specimens were $800. This condor agate nodule is about the size of three footballs More of the condor... Tiger Eye slabs...about 2' in size This guy, according to what we learned, is the pioneer in doing cold forge wire wrapping. Cranston Kerns is his name, and he started working with pounding wire when he was 12 years old. Here, he's working on a piece for my wife. Want some crystals? BIG piece of mookaite

Cranston Kerns is a good friend of mine and a great artist with Cold Forge Wire Wrapping! He is the big daddy of the method and has taken it to truly incredible levels!

OK, my turn. Not alot of photos, but I hope you'll get an idea of what we saw. I bought some Blue Lace agate from this pile. It was $7 a lb, but he gave it to me for $5. I's from Malawi, not Namibia, like the stuff we've been seeing for years. Bright blues, and thicker layers in the banding compared to Namibian material. I went for pieces with druzy pockets & hollows. Going to make some nice cabs! Lynn
