Let us all celebrate the life of our recently deceased friend Steven Hawking. He passed on the most irrational day of the year, Pi Day! i am 100% certain he would want us all to celebrate his accomplishments on this special day. Here is to you Steven Hawking. You showed those doctors a thing or 55 about the tenacity of life. They gave you two years to survive back in 1963 they are still in awe of your spirit. Thank you for “The brief History of Time”. Thank you for black holes and event horizons. Thank you for humbly changing gears when you discovered your earlier ideas were mistaken. Thank you for being a true gentleman by admitting you lost the bet with Peter Higgs. Thank you for all you did to teach humanity about the universe we live in. You lived life like a warrior. We should have your will to survive. RIP sir, RIP. 1dave Jugglerguy mohs fantastic5 rockpickerforever amygdule inyo vegasjames

Yes-- it was dis-heartening to read that this morning
have to assume he’s in better place So strong-- yet that physical condition had to be tiring
hopefully he’s able to contemplate further mysteries & its not just a black hole
if it is just a black hole
Then certainly he made the best of his short time & contributed positively to world history
that be a infinite accomplishment !

I was unaware. Thanks for letting me know.
He was kind of an odd duck, but smarter than all get out.

The joke is he didn't believe in God, so he won't be going up those stairs anyway. Lots of questions he will never have answered.
A media creation.
buh bye

It's sort've outrageous but I think he'd appreciate the joke: I believe you are correct. He would laugh at that. Too bad the others can't even give the guy who did so much for science a day of silent respect. Not even a day. Shame on them. Their spiritual leaders must be proud. Wow!

Too bad the others can't even give the guy who did so much for science a day of silent respect. Not even a day. Shame on them. Their spiritual leaders must be proud. Wow! okay, I'll bite. Just what did he do for the world? He won a Nobel Prize for his Master's Thesis on Black Holes. Kinda hard to prove or disprove theories on black holes ... Was he great simply because he was a man in a wheel chair with ALS fluent in scientific terminology? Hawkings was interesting, but not in the same league as Newton, Faraday, Tesla, or Einstein. What did he ever invent? What did he leave besides unprovable theories? The man took pride in telling others their beliefs were crap. He spent the last years of his life warning about artificial intelligence, alien invasions, overpopulation and man-made global warming. yeah... okay. Coulda been Governor of California! According to one of his his ex-wives, he was a selfish, self obsessed A-hole. (I wasn't there, so just paraphrasing what she said) RIP that someone died, but it was not not someone I feel the need to celebrate the life of. Today's trivia: Einstein was born March 14, 1879. Pi day whoop whoop! party on

I’ll byte
Lot of Hawking theories are over my head yet he built on previous giants of Science The people of science before him, Who were brave to take that course the world is better because of their bravery
Perhaps those who hate Hawkings religious stance that just how these previous scientists felt centuries ago
Politically I like Hawking much better He was such humanistic snowflake One cool dude!

He was a man of many musings, many musings were amusing. Perhaps one will have some truth in it, but so far the means to test them is far beyond our reach. Always wondered if his genius was his ability to befuddle with loquacious strings of words.
