They had no clear go figure. But tons of light clear colors that may do light like grey/green/blue/tan and they are all compatible. Use clear light tan and grey on pendants and you would have thought it was clear. Glass is starting to interfere with my life lol. Actually came at a great time when entering semi retirement giving me something to feed my activity level. I made a Native man's turtle back scraper(same way as removing tumbles)from an agate cobble. It gave the knappers a laugh. Peach, I'd say the glass has already interfered 😂 Great hobby for you Love how committed and dedicated you are to this More than that I think we can all say how happy you are doing this and that's all that matters Having a blast Allison. They call it "Jim Price" glass, fine artisans, blows my head up like a balloon. Almost made enough money in the past week to pay for all that new glass I carried home last month. Just getting started on patterns and colors that will appeal to them. Sundholm out of Alabama posted this minutes ago, absolutely superfluous craftsmanship

I called it "Skeeter the Schitzo" because the front is totally different from front to back making different sides to a spearhead. Acceptable ? Me don't know.. the points they make blow my mind.

Your wife's melt is fantabulous, too!
We have our big rock club show this weekend, so I haven't been on much at all. Was good to sit and relax and see all of these awesome creations tonight. Got to meet beefjello at our show today, too. How awesome is that?

Can't/won't take credits for others, it's a path for destruction. It was 25 years ago this month that the last corporate associate stole credit for my work and got rewarded for it. Take this job and shove it. Quit and made a living off my own ideas. Motivated the ole lady. She wanted points out of her slab to make jewelry to wear. Commissioned a high skill knapper in a trade. He'll fix her up.

Hope y'all had a blast Robin. Meeting RTH members in person is a treat. Tell beef hi for me. That rascal collects finest rocks right there at home . That Willie is a mess. All he wants to do is chip points. Doing the divorce thingy and needs something to occupy his mind. Just received 6 little points from first 4 slab trade and OMG they are dainty and so fine. Already sent 8 more slabs for 12 more back. That works for he and I and all the other knappers that want to do trades. It was all the glass I got from the warehouse and the blowers that makes this arrangement sorta lucrative. The cost of raw materials would put a kink in much profit. Not in this case. It was the jewelry melts that schooled me though. Listening to you gals was paramount, motivating. Thanks

The hard part. Crushing glass to small pieces and screening them to separate by size yet keeping them clean. So here 11 pound plate of gray glass being crushed with 2 inch ramrod in 24 inch aluminum bowl with 2 inches of water to keep glass from flying everywhere. Screened to 3 sizes for different scales of camo, fine/medium/coarse. must do 6 - 11 pound plates to do the 6 color camo melts. Or add/substitute other colors for specific camo 's. These will serve as base colors. Anyway, the 'process' of crushing glass to various sizes is a bear of a job. Gotta be clean process. trash in melt bricks = cracks. I can't figure a machine to do it. A 12 gauge shotgun at 40 yards with #6 bird shot with 30"x32" plate does a great job but is hard to keep foreign particles out of the glass. Must have water supply to screen glass this way and keep it clean. Stainless colanders go on stove till glass is dry.

How awesome is that? Prescott show? Crap. Completely forgot about it. Kind of got sidetracked with our kitchen remodel which is about 99.9% complete. I'll have to mark the calendar for next year and/or let you know when we visit there again. It's still #1 on our relocation list.

Getting ready for the show and then doing setup all day Thursday, I completely forgot about posting it. Would have liked to see you again (we met once before at Tony's bbq probably 5 years ago. Maybe we'll see you in Quartzsite this year. We planning on being there.
ETA - did you get stuck in that accident mess on the 17?

One of them man slabs. Yellow reacts with purple, black surround has to do with copper and selenium/sulfer bearing glass.

That is a Halloween slab to me. Awesome! Sorry, but am working on a Halloween haunted house and Day of the Dead Dance right now. Historic Opera House that is loaded with Spirits. PM me what the cost would be for a couple slabs like that or with any purple, white, yellow, black, orange colors. Do any of these colors fluoresce under black light? I am thinking backlit wall decor. Especially in the balcony/stairs or back stage. Easy to attach a hook to the back for hanging.
I have a partner in crime for the event planning, but we are on the same page. \\
Thanks
