WOW. John! I'm SOOO proud of you! When you start something, you really jump in with both feet, don't you! All of the cabs you listed are gorgeous. I tried to put all of them in my watch list but when I checked 'My eBay', only 5 of them were there. But, I'm going to watch them all. I know they're going to do great!
Don't be biting your nails and constantly watching your listings. Give it a couple of days and then take just a quick peek. Cher is right. Alot of folks will be watching but won't bid until the last day (or last few minutes)!
This is SO exciting! You're gonna do great with these!!!

well there are websites to sign up for that will bid for you. you can specify the time, like in the last 3 seconds or whatever. how come there isnt a little mini pic next to the description for each auction when they are in the list?

The willow creek jasper one you put up is very nice too! (That means I'd like to have it!) I think when you have a gallery photo, it really attracts visitors more quickly. I've been getting ready to put some of the druse (or is it druzy?) up on ebay. I have quite a few nice collectible pieces that might sell. Just a thought.... is the 19.95 the lowest you'd go for the Willow Creek Jasper one? When I auctioned, I set the bidding to start at a lower price, AND set a reserve price. (The reserve price is your lowest price you'd sell it for) If the bidding didn't meet my reserve price, then the piece didn't sell at all. I'd then have a second chance to sell it for free I think, and would adjust the price down if needed. Example: for the Willow Creek Jasper piece, set bidding to start at 12.95 (you set a reserve price of 19.95 that noone sees) This might spur more bidders. Hope I'm not opening a can of worms here.... Or are you thinking it will sell much higher than 19.95? I really have no clue of the value of slabbed cabs. I have ALOT to learn.

I'm awful....I'm watching YOU as a test! I have been spending WAY too much since I've started this. Gotta figure a way to recoup some of it somehow. How I wish I were a member of the idle rich "club" ;D My husband Rob, works for Northwest as a mechanic and things have not been looking good at all. We figure we have till May of next year (when their contract is up) to prepare for him getting laid off. Knowing Northwest, they're going to be brutal with the contract and it's VERY likely they will cut the mechanic ranks in half. (Which means Rob will be out of a job for sure.) *sighs* He was sooo close to getting laid off all this year. On top of it, he turned 50 this year and the job market doesn't look good for a man of his skill and age. Robs very supportive of my doing the tumbling and jewelry...now to start making him proud. ;D I may put up the druzy this week, after I take the photos. Will keep you posted on the selling "techniques" I use...and what's successful. Then again...maybe I'll give them to my son to give to his girlfriend(s).

i have never sold on ebay, so i don't where all the little extra fees are, but i was thinking that if there was the mini pictures by the listing that it would cause more people to look at the auction.
also sort of what emerald was saying, i think that if the price is lower to begin with, then might be willing to bid more. i have an untested theory that if people see something someone else has already bid on, they will think that it must be something worth buying and then think "i need to beat that person and win the auction!!" i don't know what this all means, but its just my opinions...

Hi All, Hi John, Are you going to post anymore cabs before you find out how these do? If so, you might want to think about starting them at $9.99. Of course, I don't want you to think that I think that's all they're worth. I think each one of them is worth far more than that! I just think that starting them at a lower price would be incentive for more folks to start bidding faster. And, unless you really needed to, I would sell them with 'No Reserve'. People like to see that phrase in listings.
And while I'm putting forth my 2 cents worth, I wouldn't put "for pendent/wirewrap" in the heading of your listing. Someone looking at cabs for display or some other craft project may be put off because they're not planning to use it for that purpose. Besides, you already have that in the description in the body of your listing.
These are just suggestions. I hope you don't think I'm being critical. Love your stuff!
