I don't know the ways of Canada Post. When I lived in Iqaluit, sometimes items would come within a week, and other times they would sit in Montreal for a month or longer before finally getting on a plane. That was somewhat of a unique circumstance though. We were slowed down shipping them trying to convince the clerk that rocks shouldn't be classified as dangerous goods.

I was hoping our box would have gotten here today, but it didn't. Hopefully tomorrow! Canada Post's tracking ends once it gets released from customs in the US, which happened on the 24th. Expected delivery is the 30th, but not sure how reliable that is. I was amazed people received boxes on Saturday. That doesn't happen here. No worries. It will get here.
If you have the tracking number, would you pm it to me? It's possible USPS will track it just like they do with Aussie mail.

I thought it odd that beefjello received his and you haven’t though you are both in Arizona. But rockjunquie in West Virginia has, and I hadn’t!! Until about an hour ago. I think California is closer to BC than the east coast!! Hang in there! Virginia, but close.

Our box came today!
Just so everyone knows, the USPS does track the international packages with their tracking numbers.
The reason for the delay was evident on the box. TSA had opened it to see our pretty rocks and then resealed it with their lovely green tape informing you that they inspected it. Hope they enjoyed it! Also hope they didn't steal any.

All good! Rocks were all there according to the scale, and I didn't need dinner immediately anyway.
Picked a couple out, took them to the shop so we could get our first good look at Dallasite. We both really like it.
Polished the top of one of those first slices this morning up to 50K. It takes a consistent polish across all the colors. What a great thing it is to get a new type of rough and to find it polishes up like that!
Thank you so much for giving us here on the RTH a chance to purchase some of this great rough.

Always interested to see if you ever post a pic of what you do with it too, almost as fun as hounding it in the first place. Thanks for helping us feel like we spent our days on the beaches well!

Alrighty then - still haven't really "done" anything with it, but this photo is two halves of the same small slice. The shiny one is 30x18 mm. It was so much fun seeing the transformation I wanted to post a picture of them side by side.
I didn't even work the sides. This rough was new to us, so I just had to see how it would polish. It really does shine up nicely.

bcrockhound Received my Dallasite yesterday. It is such an amazing stone. Thanks again for offering this to people on RTH. A little Dremel work and shifting my tumbling schedule, then some of this will be going in.

I cut some over the weekend, it's going to tumble great. I have a friend that's an amazing art/jewelry maker, showed him a couple of slices and gave him a rock to play with, he loved it.

You said: Pat I am no expert on cabbing. Does 4" trim saw mean rocks no bigger than 4"?No, though I wish it did. 4" diameter blade can cut a little over 1" thick stone. I can measure it today. So how much can a 7" saw cut? I have no ideas about saws.
