Here are some pictures of the snow that just keeps coming down at my house. Hard to tell exactly how much snow we've gotten so far because of drifting, but we're figuring somewhere around 1-1/2 feet so far. This isn't suppose to stop until tomorrow morning at some point.

As fluffed up as that Titmouse is , you may not want to start up a conversation with it concerning global warming. You just might get a free ear piercing or worse !

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet. But BRRRRRRR! It's really not that bad out. Temperature just ticked up to 38, but it's still snowing. Waiting for a lull in this snow band to go back out and shovel the driveway again. A couple of inches is way easier than the 8 inches we were faced with this morning. This will be shovel expedition #3 for the day.

Is that a titmouse? Poor little thing! No, it's a flycatcher. We don't have titmice down here. We used to have them when we lived up on the mountain. Beautiful little birds.

We take it in at night and put it out at first light in the morning when it gets below freezing. We have a male Anna's that decided to come back way early (goofy bird), so I put the feeder out for him. I've been monitoring it all morning to make sure it's not turning into a slushy, but the temps are warm enough now that it won't freeze.
ETA: Schools are closed today and tomorrow. They called it yesterday before the snow even started!

So beautiful and just think of all the good it is doing for the earth! It is really pretty. I do love fresh, clean snow. Hate shoveling it, tho.
We've had a decently wet winter, and with this snow it should do a great deal to refill the aquifer.

Flycatcher was my second guess... or phoebe. Hummingbird! In the snow! How can it eat enough to keep up with the calories it's burning?

I would NEVER say "not too bad out', and "38 degrees" in the same breath!

And you're in Arizona? That's nuts. It's only 27 here but we don't have much snow and the sun is shining. No wind so I say it's not too bad here, too. Snow really is beautiful- when you're looking at it from inside a cozy house. Or maybe when you're out in the woods or somewhere peaceful watching it fall. Not so beautiful when you want to find rocks or have to shovel!

One of cool geographical element of AZ Is its ability to experience all type temperature inversions Couple hour drive get out the stifling heat Or in the winter go skiing sometimes

Looks like you got slammed by this winter storm. We got a dusting of snow here (northwest of Phoenix)but it melted pretty quick and we had rain/slush after that. Glad I'm not having to shovel but it would be fun to make a snowman although I think your snow is too wet to make a good snowman.
