I like. You have some nice looking emeralds in that batch. Will set nice in wire wrap. Great work. A couple need to go back in but the rest are good. Congrats.

Those aren't emeralds those are aventurine. Yes just like the one's in the rough I posted earlier with my rock shed order. Tami

I don't know what the red is, it came from a slab that I broke apart so they are all flat and will be easy to wrap. Tami

WHAT- You scan the rocks in? How How How- I have a great little scanner- but I have never tried a 3 dimensional scan- Do you place a background on top of the rocks or what? Or do I just need to go home throw them on the scanner and scan em?

Duh- I guess if I had bothered to look at the pic I would see that you do indeed use a background- Sorry I just never thought of scanning them

Duh- I guess if I had bothered to look at the pic I would see that you do indeed use a background- Sorry I just never thought of scanning them I change the background cover with what I am scanning, what you see here is a piece of velveteen, and sometimes I use a white or off white towel. Tami

How do you hold the scanner still that long, and how do you keep the lid from banging? I never thougth of using the scanner, I was always afraid if I held it upside down, it might not work again.

It's hard but they scan upside down- or if you turn the rocks upside down then you can use it right side up ;D
