Saw this Red Tail hawk out this morning. I think he's a youngster as he was making very short flights from tree to tree. Todd B. Ramona, CA

My elderly girl was acting like a playful puppy today and ripped my dress.

These and many more were begging to be picked today, before the heavy rains and storms arrived. Most were frozen, but some were put on my waffles.

Speaking of berries. Kovu loves to help us pick them. Never seen a dog eat berries like he does

What kind of snake is that poisonous or non poisonous It's a king snake. Non-poisonous. They eat gophers, mice and other small rodents mostly.
Vince actually rescued this one from the end of our street last year. He didn't want anyone to run it over so he brought it home and let it go in the back yard. It obviously likes it here, because it has hung around and gotten about at least twice as big since then. We see it on occasion and are happy when we do.
This guy showed up right after I was taking the pictures of the baby bunny.

Hmmmm that would be a mouthful? Knave. Here's an old post I made on another forum a few years ago. When Snakes Fly Be careful out there. Snakes can be found almost everywhere we go rock hounding or camping. This one dropped out of the sky into our campground (Buck Hall) on the South Carolina coast this past summer. It got away from a large hawk or eagle and fell to it's death. Over 5' long with 13 rattles and a button. Rick B

This guy is a little too big for the kids to handle, I think. It's a good 3-3½ long. They're still learning to hunt and are not quite as coordinated as they will be in a another week or so. I think they'll be ready to leave soon. We haven't seen mom and dad around for about the last week. They always go on vacation when they think the kids can be by themselves.
We don't see the snake very often. He usually stays undercover. I'm sure he mostly hangs out under the brush piles in the north 40 that are waiting to be burned.

I have never had a eagle or osprey drop me a fish while fishing, once I did have a eagle land in a tree above me with a huge salmon that started to eat until he saw me below trying to get a picture of him then he flew off.
