Baby bunny - not the one from the other day.
And the snake:
Looks like a California King snake or a relative. Beautiful.

Spent yesterday afternoon with this young man. Every time I see him, he has changed so much. Maturing fast. Loves his many vehicles. We went to a local ice cream place that has lactose free offerings. The daily special was a 5 cent scoop of Blue Moon for children. Basically liquid Fruit Loops cereal. AJ is quite accomplished at using a spoon. He ate over half the cup of ice cream. He was very tired after a busy afternoon. Falling asleep in his mom's arms when I left.

Think I'll cut back the Brown Turkey Fig tree a little this fall as it's fixing to get into the power lines. Figs will begin ripening later this week and produce for a couple weeks. Eat what I can and cook some in a sugar syrup with a little lemon juice then freeze in containers. Birds will get them too. Through the years all of our Cocker Spaniels have been spotted standing on their hind legs picking their own. Rooting about a dozen or so.

Last October, we saw two white praying mantises in the epidendrum orchids just outside the front door. At that time, they were probably less than an inch long.
Fast forward eight months to 7/9/20, and this one was in the house above the front door. I think it was helping me out with small bugs/spiders on the ceiling. Would have left him there, but it wouldn't be safe for him as I didn't want to step on him by accident.
Body length is now about three inches!
I've seen them in a myriad of colors before, but never white ones.

I have seen all three colors (green, white & brown) in our back yard at times over the years.

We get the green preying mantis’. Their egg sacs/nests? Look like small bee hives.
Google “pink preying mantis’ “. Very pretty.

Rock painting is taking off huge here. Members of the Stevens Point group decorated over 500 rocks for Stevens Point HS grads. The leader of the rocks for Stevens Point said she would like to help other local communities obtain rocks for grads in their area. I was all over this. Here is the end result for the 75 graduates of Amherst HS. They were done by both the Stevens Point and Amherst painted rocks groups. I did 15 of them. They will be given out at the delayed commencement along with diplomas. In many ways, this strange year has brought people together. To focus on doing something good for their community.

Correct me if I'm wrong (because I'm too lazy to google it) but aren't they a little chameleon? Maybe this white guy is just trying to fit in with all those white walls?

Yes, rockjunquie, they are. BUT, the two we saw last October were outside on green plants, not inside on white-ish walls. They really stuck out like sore thumbs, I really thought they'd be toast! Was quite surprised to see this one had survived and grown larger!

Life goes on, even in these weird times. My grandson wanted a mohawk but no one else did so the barber did a regular haircut and styled one for him. He looked in a mirror, thought he got a mohawk and that he got away with something so he's super happy!

That looks a heap site better than the BUNN slushee machines. Looks like Corona funding being put to good use!

That looks a heap site better than the BUNN slushee machines. Looks like Corona funding being put to good use! This is a nice one. I filled it 4 times yesterday. No Corona funding was used in the purchase of this machine, unless you count income from sales.
