Wowza, you did an amazing job on the Morganhill jasper!! I got it decades ago from Zippy when I bought my first 'real' saw from him. Nice additions Tommy!! I'm glad y'all are having fun with this traveling cabbing box! Jim is next, but won't be able to check here for a couple of weeks, so take your time before you send it on! Might give some folks time to thaw out a bit too, this box has been moving fast! Thank you for getting this started! It was fun!

Whew, thanks you guys for going on without me! Tommy and Jim, you can ignore my messages, haha. My computer died on me, and just got the new one up and running. It held on for some 8 years, so I should be good for 8 more!

Awesome!!! I can’t wait to see it! The box went to the post office yesterday so it's on it's way by now. I hope you enjoy the cabochon - I'm rusty at it and I can't claim that it's my finest work but I do think it turned out OK.

Got the box!!! Lots of great stuff to choose from and the moss agate cab looks amazing! If that’s what you do when your rusty then I really need to step my game up. Thanks and enjoy it Jim. Yeah the shape kind of went where it wanted to which is not that unusual for me - believe it or not there is an actual north/south orientation but definitely not a calibrated shape Also, the backside edge got a little more chippy than I was happy with or had the energy to fix, but it was fun to be cabbing again after so many months off. Thank you again for the game deedolce!

Big beautiful cab there, Tommy! Nice!
I'm really enjoying seeing what folks choose and the resulting cabs~ we have talented folks here on RTH! If anyone wants to add what they make with the cab, please do!

Should be finished with the cab this week. I’ll have to ship it out on Friday the latest due to my work schedule. I’m gonna put a few new slabs in the box. I’m great at not having a clue what most of the material I have is called or what it’s worth so I figured I’d make up for that by putting more in! I’ve posted the pictures below with each slab numbered so feel free to help ID them and if you want to go above and beyond maybe share what a piece of it normally costs or even something as simple as if it’s a cheap piece or a pricey one. I’m still trying to learn and y’all got the knowledge! I know I got #2 from AzRockGeek with a bunch of amazing rough he was super kind enough to share with me and I think #5 is lepidolite.5 is pretty soft but shines up really nice and kind of sparkly, it was a gift thrown in when I bought my Covington. Dry: Wet:

Thank you again for the game deedolce! I like it. It’s definitely the biggest cab I own. It’s hard for me to make large ones. And I figured the roundest edge was either supposed to be the top or bottom but for some reason I was lazy when I took the picture and just held it up without thinking about orientation. Just wanted to say thanks again for making it!!

Haha, answered your pm, but just to let anyone that's wanting to join; as long as the box is still traveling and hasn't ended with me yet, you can join! I update the list in my initial post with the list and where the box is along the way. Glad to have you Julie! You make #11!

I received the box today in the mail. Had a pretty long day, so I haven't even opened it yet. I think I will wait until tomorrow morning when I'm more fresh and have better light to look at everything.
I'll post up a picture of the cab I received tomorrow!

Here's the beautiful cab of Dallasite that Jim created and sent with the slabette box:
Thanks, Jim, for the cab!
I will work on my cab as soon as I figure out what I would like to cab out of all of these wonderful choices. I am going to take the Hell's Canyon and Chevron Amethyst out of the box and replace them since they suffered shipping casualties. The Chevron Amethyst is now in 3 pieces and the Hell's Canyon in 2. All of the pieces are a little to small to send on, I think.
If anyone has an objection to that, let me know and I'll keep them in and send them on.

Beautiful cab, Jim! I've never seen Dallasite before. Cool whites and greens. Thanks Robin, for exchanging the slabbetts that broke. I appreciate you doing so! I'll send you Rad's address for when you're ready!
