I have an affinity for lace agates and the large tumble posts have me fired up! I'm going to try tumbling a chunk I've had sitting around and see what happens. This is also my first attempt posting pictures here so we'll see how it goes! First week - 486 grams

I'm looking forward to seeing you take that to polish. It's beautiful rough, and I bet the final polished piece is going to be superb!

Holy Toledo! That is a once in a lifetime kind of rock. Or would be for me! A paperweight for the desk at the office for sure. I can't wait to see you post progress of this tumble. I think its a unique (LARGE) one you have there for sure.
Love the purple in that batch too!

I agree with the above. It’s really cool. What was your source?

I have a pile of crazy lace I've been sitting on. Some are larger some smaller. I was holding some of the larger pieces to cut once I upgraded to a larger saw. I haven't found the sweet deal on a saw I keep looking for so I figured I'd just tumble some in the mean time. I can always find more once I get that saw... I purchased this particular piece individually from The Rock Shed if I remember correctly.

I wish I'd included a quarter or something in the pictures for a size reference through the rough stages. It already feels so much smaller in my hands!

That's going to be an awesome display specimen when you have it finished.
