These are some of my first tumbles, and came from Classic Lavic location more than a year or so ago.
This is way overdue, and was on my short list of things that I wanted to post a year ago when I was hurt and had some downtime to actually post content here. Today i am short on time, and told myself 'Self! No Post'. But Chucks nice Lavic pictures drew me out, and the next thing I know ... I am here posting again!
I love Lavic, and about 1/4 of my best stones actually end up as pendants. There is just so much diversity to the colors and patterns of this stone, in one small area! I mean, walk 200 feet to the left or right, and you will probably come up a whole different family of stones. All of this is from Classic. I am sure of it, both from a timing and stone character aspect. But Classic Lavic doesn't always love me.
Warning, I just hustled these guys out from piles, and forced them to stand together like this. No special treatment. They are not happy about this.

Also know that this is all of them. LIke all of the little guys, and all of the really pissed off pitted big ones, and anything that did not make it in to the pendant club. Classic Lavic does not always love me. Some are obviously bitter about it. Some of these have been in the tumbler for 15 weeks. They just keep resisting wanting to being finished. The stone is stronger than me, and I give up mostly.
By the time I finished a lot of these, I already had the tumbling chops to make round rocks without too much issue. But not Lavic!

Pile #3 is the runts. The ones that didn't make it in to the interesting looking (in my opinion) first two Focus groups above. You can see craters, pits, pits, and more pits. But a couple of these might have made it in to Focus groups above.
Oh well, this was overdue. I have not tumbled much Lavic in the year since, and so the material was always there.
Now I have a bunch of little piles of Lavic sitting here looking at me, probably thinking 'what is this guy doing? did we just get drafted in to the Army or something?'
No, nothing extreme like that. None of you guys are going to get tossed in to the yard with the other runts. Y'all going back on the coffee tables and stuff. Shesh! Rocks with an attitude!
Thanks for stopping by!
