You would think the rocks would gie up, right!?! I gave up on most of these.
As Dave mentions, the imperfect result is still beautiful, and full of character. There is so much variety in just the Classic Lavic location alone. It is amazing. Most certainly agree.........having visited there 3 times, the early morning serenity off the main road 1/2 mile into the crater area to the west......my favorite float gathering grounds.......
I think it is really serene too. I haven't looked around the crater area much. But have walked the limits of the boundary in to military zone, on one side of the crater.
First time up there, they were actively bombing the zone though. It was kind of surreal, with ground pounding explosions going off, major train activity barreling through all day long (5+ trains?), and wondering if I was in the right area?!?
Other visits have been just the opposite though. Quiet, and not even a single train going through.
