Stardiamond, I believe your cab is from Parral dendritic agate from Mexico.

I am certainly no expert on identification. I remember what I bought and that was based on someone else's id. Here's a slab identified as amethyst sage:  The top half of the cab looks a lot like the slab. |

I said I would send the slab I posted a photo of to the winner of the contest. This morning I was starting to pack it and I find that I will need to include a few other pieces to fill the box. Everyone, get your entries in. I purchased some books from woodman. What he used for "ballast" to fill the box included this contest slab along with many other rocks and slabs. Some of the slabs were face polished. Most were personalized based on my likes posted here. |
