Thought Provoking! 1. The digestion rejected material. What were they eating? 2. The open spaces. Digestive gas between segments? Impact induced? Drying shrinkage? Dung beetle induced? 3. The Agatization Process. a. First few fills - completely filled with iron laden silica that attached to all surfaces. Later fills much less iron. Why? Why no iron in the upper right corner? Perhaps the iron was in the digested food? 4. Fractures. This must have taken two impacts - falling down hill. Long ago?

Yesterday I completed a series of big surgeries I've been having since February to overhaul a worn out old body. What a relief to get all that behind me and get active again. I'll commemorate the occasion with this:

A beauty for the thurd Tuesday of the month. I just noticed the pair is not matched and are separate halves from two different specimens. I must be getting confused and can't keep my sh*t together.

That pair is killer, Randy! As I looked more closely at the photo I realized I need to turn one of them upside down in order to portray its true mirror image.

Good eye, RickB! Kind of looks like evil Frosty the Snowman to me. I think I better start locking the display room door at night. That thing is creepy.
