Great matchup . . . that mottled iridescent chunk looks like it would carve a real nice snake head.

Just got this one out of polish after a few months of tumbling/vibe. Photo #198 I'm happy it didn't shatter/fragment. I'm disappointed that it didn't look cooler-finished.

Photo #199 Annoyed with the fractures--they were not there originally. They are a reminder of when my UV-45 bowl broke a while back and all the rocks chattered together and ended up cracking this piece (which is an impressive amount of force). I had to rotary finish it: which is always tricky business. I tried to get my cats to check out the awesome polish I got on this one...as you can see below: they were absolutely thrilled.

I had bought some Baby Brazilian Agates from Kingsley a while back--finally getting to them. I was worried that they would all look the same. After 1 week of 46 SiC--no worries.

As many people have said: Montana agates take forever to tumble, but, they are worth the wait! Photo #200A (Dark) Photo #200B (Bright) Side-by-Side

I started a few more barrels of Brazilian Agate last week (46 SiC) Relieved that I see some repetition in the colors/patterning between my different batches...so I don't have to concern myself with trying to buy more material from this vendor.

Just because you don't "have" to, doesn't mean you "shouldn't"! LOL

lordsorril those are awesome(again), can I ask where are you getting those from? Yep yep! Kingsley North Online, under the 'Slabbing Rough' section: Baby Brazilian Agate Rough. If you buy 25lbs. or more then they cost $1.80/lb. + Shipping (atm). I think it cost me something like $85 for 35 lbs (after shipping).

Now I know what I'm picking up next

Photo #202 This snake refused to pose for the photo. Of course...refusing to pose is also a pose...

Photo #203 Not the most aesthetic stone, but, an interesting color... I debated whether or not to crack it in half and take my chances with a tumble, but, I will keep it 'as is' for now.

Photo #204 I think I have tumbled more local Granite/Quartz than anything else, but, Carnelian Agate is a close second.

Photo #205 Used some Leland Blue for this photo. I am tempted to buy other colors of slag furnace glass and try them out, but, this stuff was a real pain to work with and glass seems to eat away rapidly at my vibe polypropylene bowl...
