I mostly hound in our local waterways. Some have huge storm surges and strong currents when they're high. Summertime when the water's low is my happy time. I can access gravel bars that are only exposed in low water. I find so many odd things sometimes. Glass, pottery, artifacts , industrial waste lol and of course rocks. I love finding rocks that are out of place. For example here's my Biggs jasper imposter. Sometimes I find industrial gears which I carry out for my friend who makes steampunk lamps with them. Even found a huge tractor engine once. Couldn't carry that What odd things do you all find?

Hmmm... it’s always fun to find something out of place. I’ll have to give it some thought.

I usually find old rusty cans, some old glass, and have found a few tools although they were broken unfortunately.

Saw a video a week later where a guy totally restored an old classic wrench. Made me wonder if I shouldn't have taken that wrench home :-)

I found a tooth - well, technically a cap for a front tooth (human). I've always wondered what the story behind that was.

But then again I've been looked at funny before...lol.

An unusual find the other day down in the bay. A plastic doll that wanted to be a Mermaid. Weird and a little bit disturbing that you posed the doll for pictures. LOL

So the pry bars you found put you in the plus column, lol.

Yeah the pry bars put me in the plus column although one was homemade and bent the first time I used it...lol. Got what I paid for right? LOL

Made me wonder if I shouldn't have taken that wrench home :-) Found a beat up and run over wrench once in the middle of a road. It said Craftsman on it so I took it back to Sears and they gave me a brand new one for free. Also, at a flea market, I found a set of four corner wood clamps that are used to put picture frames together. One of the clamps was busted so I was able to get the set for a couple dollars. Sears gave me a brand new replacement set for free. Sears isn't doing very good anymore.

I found a GoPro and was able to watch its last video from a kid rock jumping. Other interesting stuff would include human molars (detected the fillings - I put the teeth back), dentures, a MAGA hat (in Canada), carbide miner's lamp, tin box with a small amount of silver ore inside, a really old sluice with placer gold in between the boards, miner's moss from a sluice which I cleaned well and got a couple of grams of fine gold, while diving a lake found an old horse drawn sleigh (turns out it fell thru the ice years ago), paper money, coins, jewelry (some real), dog tags, crematorium tags (I put them back), bullets (fired and unfired), a dildo, beer, a backpack full of student stuff), old locks, keys, knives, watches, cell phones, pens, drugs (which I disposed), epipen, boat parts, lighters, old bottles, candle sticks, miner's candles, buttons, damaged Indian artifacts, axe heads, old shovels, old picks, old signs and most importantly discovered my love for exploring.

I can remember back when I was a kid, we were panning for gold in Colorado, in the vicinity of the foundation for a small crushing mill. Picked up some wire gold, but found 5 or 6 steel balls from the crusher. I wish I knew where they went because they are probably worth more than the small amount of gold we found that day. They were interesting in that they showed the manufacturing technique, had a big fat seam in the middle where the 2 halves had been welded together.
