I've got more dopped up, so I'll have to decide later in the month. This is from Montana and I got it from drocknut. It measures 58 x 18 x 7.25mm and is bezel cut ~3.75mm. That looks great.

Any tips on Colla wood polish? The blue and dark brown is soft. Wonderful material. Just like beauty in real life it comes with challenges.

Hmm. Marble wheel, thick felt pad, 5000 grit sand cloth, I could order zam or diamond paste

Ok, so here's my entry. I didn't get a picture of the slab so I'm using Tommy 's picture. Not sure what kind of wood this is and it was a toss-up between this one and the Colla Wood. I figured others might be posting the colla so I decided to go with this. Dremeled cab, finished in vibe tumbler. Wow you did that with a Dremel?!!

Yes, ma'am, everything I've ever done is with a dremel. I know it's not the best, fastest, or easiest way, but I really do like doing it this way- for now. It's kind of relaxing- usually!

I cut this a couple of weeks ago but didn't post because I'd cut a different cab and couldn't decide which one to enter. This is Hell's Canyon Herringbone petrified sequoia wood from the Idaho-Oregon border area. Apart from the interesting "herringbone" growth lines, the wood is prized for its crystal-lined vugs, which I've tried to show in a not-so-great image. All the wood available came from a single huge fossilized tree. The area where it was found is now flooded by the huge Hell's Canyon Reservoir on the Snake River. Oof. Why even enter?? Lol Oof... that's German for Ugg... right? haha I'm feeling the same way but I AM going to get a piece going and enter it! If I keep telling myself this I'll stay motivated right? My problem is more about finding a rare day off and shaking off the laziness haha.
