So this is my cab. I believe it’s a piece of palm wood or root? Fun piece to cut as I didn’t know how well the face would hold up with the doming. I’m really happy with how this quirky cab came out. I love the pattern capture in your cab! Reminds me of amoebas haha. Welcome to the forum BTW. It's good to have you here and jumping in getting your feet wet. Thank you Tommy. I’ve been lurking as a guest for about 3 years now. This contest got me to finally make an account. I purchased a cab machine in June and I’ve just been teaching myself how to cab since.

I made a second one for fun, doesn't matter which one I enter, I can't win against what I've seen today!! Julie did you decide which one is your entry? I have a rare day off so I'm doing a bit of advanced work on the voting thread.

Here's mine. My main challenge was getting a picture that sorta resembles what I made. Still didn't get one that I like after 2 hours, so I gave up trying. Slab: Preform:

If I can get a more realistic picture tomorrow in sunlight I will change my main entry photo if that is okay with everyone. Has to be the most difficult cab to photo that I have ever seen!

I'm thinking it's AZ rainbow wood yes? Difficult material - I've personally never had much success working with it.

I don't. knave sold it to me as "wood, I think". Sure looks like AZ wood to me so I'll go with that for now unless someone says otherwise.
