Is it humanly possible that a person could pick a worse time to sell their house and move? Or a better time? Original planned time to hit the market was July, but getting help with a home remodel in the land of Covid paranoia ain't easy. Took forever, but it's done, and the realtor thinks I'll get a nice wad of cash, so we can have a place in AZ with no debt. We're in a hotel while the prospective buyers traipse through, 7 on Friday with at least 2 potential offers, and 5 scheduled for today as of about 6pm Friday. Toy hauler trailer is loaded, stuff in 2 storage units and the garage. Squirrel ate the temp sensor and #8 spark plug wiring on the 14' box truck we got to pull the trailer, and on the way to the shop I discovered that some @$$wipe had cut the hose between the filler and tank and stole my half tank of gas. Fun! We might really be on the road in maybe 4 weeks. Heres the ad, photo was taken @ about 200 AQI, the mistiness is not a cool photo effect. We had to finish with the AQI topped at about 460, worst air in the world. Today I'm thankful for the rain we will be leaving to get away from... www.zillow.com/homedetails/5605-NE-111th-St-Vancouver-WA-98686/23301716_zpid/

Hope you get a great offer on the house. Where are you going in Arizona? Hope it's close to Quartzsite..lol. Around Wickenburg or Congress is a strong possibility, but I17 from about Black Canyon city up to Prescott area is also on the list. We only had a couple days to scout them out after we ruled out the Tucson area back in October. We will have the Toy hauler parked in a manufactured home park in Glendale while we shop. Wickenburg is pretty convenient to Q, but hotter than Prescott. Also not much real estate turning over there. Since we have the trailer driving a bit further to Q and dry camping while there might be the best option. Wherever we land, I want to add or have guest hookups. And outdoor kitchen...

Wickenburg is nice but you're right, it is hotter than Prescott. Prescott is pricey, or so I've heard. They do have a great farmers market there on Saturdays. Tucson is definitely hot in the summer. Glendale is crowded in my opinion but then again I live at my mom's place about 20 miles west of Wickenburg and don't go to the big city very often if I can help it. Dry camping in Quartzsite is definitely a great option especially when the shows are going on (provided they will go on again this year with all the crap going on). I 17 is a nightmare for traffic especially when it is hot in Phoenix on a weekend. Happy shopping, let me know if you need any information I might be able to provide. I do have a little knowledge of Arizona. You might also check with hummingbirdstones, They live in Prescott area.

Tuscon is cool it really is but the traffic is horrendous Phoenix is huge so there lots of roam yeah its got plenty of problems but it also has cool dry vibe yeah i'm a fool for the city yet can get away quick i like it so far... but us old retired guys don't have concern ourselves w/ traffic much see ya

Lee, let me know if you want to hang out in the Prescott area for a few days to look around. Shoot me an email or give me call.
Congrats on getting your house on the market. Sure looks like you'll have a contract very soon. Multiple offers = bidding wars. Let the fun begin!

Thanks, Robin. Your friend Gail is sending listings every day, seen a few that we would want to look at if they were still around when we get there. We got an offer yesterday, and 3 more should be in the works. We will review all on Monday. The offer we have is $20k over with us covering $3500 of closing, a very strong offer. We'll see what else happens today as we continue our local vacation.

Last time I sold a house it was sold before I put in on the market, the buyers heard I was getting it ready for sale and came and talked with me. Small towns can be great.

We are now pending. There were 4 offers, all over the asking price. We accepted a 15k over asking price offer with 7k cash in case it doesn't appraise to the full price. Inspections to come. Supposed to close before Oct 30. I hope a lot sooner.

Don't count on it closing sooner. All the lenders have COVID slow-down syndrome due to working remotely, etc. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it closes earlier, tho!
