I just put a light bead of glue around the perimeter of the light and they work fine. I like that model of light because I can rotate the stone up, down, sideways, whatever.

I don't have any coprolite slabs that are translucent enough for the light to shine through ... yet. Guess I better get to work on that.

I assure my friends that having a nightlight which backlights an interesting agate is a great excuse to view and admire the beauty of stones every day (night). I've been making them for several years often from the thin remains from a slabbing effort. The thinner the better in terms of light transmission as long as it does not turn into something too fragile and hence susceptible to breaking. My local findings store sells a more typical night light (with bulb) and a T-bar that can be used to support the stone. They hold up real well with E6000 as the adhesive. Yours are a bit more high tech. Congrats.

The only problem is the wife has trouble sleeping with a nite lite in the room. Doesn't bother me though.
