Saturday is almost finished so I better intervene. This is a Hubbard Basin piece I'm using for a doorstop. I also shared it in another thread so hope I'm not being too redundant.
I have now seen it all!!! Hubbard BAsin wood used as a doorstop! Nice
This what I believe to be a nice piece of Sycamore. Found it when we were in central Oregon a few weeks ago. I will make a cut off the left end and polish. May have to bleach it. This material is pretty dark.

I can't believe we let a Saturday go by without a specimen photo! Here's a belated Saturday wood photo.

I took this pic yesterday afternoon and meant to post it, but got sidetracked!
Just a picture of a couple of my favorite pieces.

rockhobbyguy: I am very heartbroken to hear Lortone is going out of business. My motor on my 45c just went out and needs to be replaced. Since theses are now seemingly unavailable for good, does anyone know of another brand of motor that would work with a Lortone 45c.
